Marengo Cafe

Great selection for a weekend brunch. We came in and were immediately seated at about the same time as two other tables. Even though three tables ordered at about the same time, the food came out quickly. The staff are very friendly and super attentive. The portion sizes were generous. All of the food was very good and the rye bread was especially tasty.

Great place. I went there for breakfast. The food was superb, reasonably priced and the owners are wonderful. I definitely recommend stopping by.

A great breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Marengo. Fresh ingredients for bacon and egg breakfasts, oatmeal and other breakfast staples Wonderfully colorful California cobb salad, crisp lettuce, fresh avocado etc. Our server on this day was attentive, friendly and informative, coffee filled frequently and food brought quickly. The owners here have 30+ years experience at this location and know how to treat customers. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large.

This is my fifth time I go there to get breakfast and all the food is super good the eggs and waffles are delicious usually I go to Schaumburg for a good breakfast but this restaurant Exceded my expectations!!!! Great service Wendy is super great the food is excellent everything came out super warm and delicious!!!! Waffles, eggs, the hash browns, coffee 💯 % great 👍🏼 happy that I found this gem 💎 close to home

A homely town cafe that serves great food. Marengo cafe is very friendly we waited 10 minutes for a table, but it looked like the whole town went there for breakfast on Sunday. Once seated we already had water on the table and menus. We didn't wait long to order and it was a lovely place to eat.

The whole town was enjoying their meal and happily enjoying their Sunday breakfast. Once my breakfast skillet arrived, I was impressed by the size and portion of the meaty skillet and with 4 slices of toast was a great plus. All in all I enjoyed my small town breakfast and would definitely go again if I ever went back to America.

Food was amazing, service was great! My only gripe is that they were a little pushy about the coffee refills, it was sometimes so awkward to refuse that I just got a refill anyways.

The food is delicious. The service is real quick and the people are nice and make you feel welcome. Excellent resturant for breakfast and lunch.

The service was great and the food was delicious! This is a small diner but they turn over clients quick. You can tell theres quite a bit of regulars. Corned beef hash was so good!

This was a great little find, a few minutes off I-90 near Rte 23. Well worth the slight detour for a great meal. Nice portions, fresh tasting, very friendly service. And last but not least, the best coffee too! We will be back!

We just moved to the area and have decided to explore new places! With a 16 month old baby girl that is very opinionated, Staff has been excellent and welcoming food was great and sweet home atmosphere!

Homey, clean, good meal ~ large menu selection. Just adding a few words and updating this review. We had another beautiful breakfast this morning(2/20/18). It was all delicious and here's the photos to prove what I'm saying ~ it's all good. 3/7/22 Still excellent!

We went to Marengo Cafe last night for the fish fry and it was excellent! 3 of us got fish fry, 1 of us got fish tacos and all had great things to say. We will absolutely be back for the fish fry! Great work!

This place is an excellent place to go and eat with your family or by yourself! Food is perfect and hot and service is superb!! Everything with a smile!! Always attentive to your needs!! I'm very a very picky eater and my Food was cooked to perfection and I always leave with food to take home but not this time! My son was amazed! You just have to go and see for yourself, you won't be sorry I promise you!!
