Pleasantly surprised! This shop is extremely neat, clean, and organized. They have a great selection of several types of books, and the prices they charge are very fair. We found an armload of great books in practically like-new condition to purchase. The lady working there at the shop was very friendly and eager to help. She even gave us a free reusable shopping bag. I definitely recommend this place to all book lovers out there in the area.

I was walking around downtown Crystal Lake with my wife and daughter when we saw this used bookstore I hadn't ever noticed before. We decided to walk in since I have been looking for some more business / marketing books to read.

I was extremely impressed with how clean everything was (used bookstores can carry a stigma), and I was pleased with the amount of books in the store. The volunteer was extremely kind, we enjoyed some conversation. My wife and daughter played in the kids section in the back, which I thought was awesome they even had.

The prices were acceptable, and I feel good paying what they are asking knowing that used books were being put to good use. My only "bummer" is that they have a huge section devoted to fiction. I would like to have seen more in other areas but I understand they are working with what they are donated.

Stopped in here and met Pam, who was truly fantastic. She gave us an amazing amount of info about the store, the village, and shops around the area. It was a treat coming here and there is such an amazing selection of books that we will be back again many times. Knowing the store mission makes us even more excited to buy there. Wonderful neighborhood bookstore. Employee was very friendly and helpful. Kid friendly with A few chairs to sit and relax. Reccomended to all book enthusiasts.

Wonderful, environmentally friendly and people friendly place. Located in historic downtown Crystal Lake. 2 city parking lots nearby, plus on-street parking. I bought some gifts there in December. Story time too! What's not to love?

The owner was super kind and super helpful. I was looking for a book for my boyfriend and she asked about his interests and pulled all sorts of books out to help me pick. Love that the store is sustainable too.

They Are Very Inexpensive And All The Money Goes To A Good Cause. Great Selection Of Books And Cannot Wait To Return!

The place feels so welcoming and has a lot of titles that I wouldn't expect to see at a smaller bookstore. The people there are friendly, and the whole place is a benefit to the community it's in.

Store had already closed but the volunteer working still let me pop in and buy a book. Everything is resale but I didn’t know that until I was checking out because the books look so brand new. I was shocked when she told me the price was $3.50.
