We went to this place because we were recommended to try the banana pudding, and oh my god, it was so delicious!

The caramel cheesecake was amazing as well, and the coffee, very tasty. No wonder this place is advertised in NY guides and recommended by so many people!

The banana pudding is amazing : not too sweet but still tasty !
The cupcakes are also very good (I tried the vanilla flavor with chocolate buttercream), my mom found it too sweet but for my part I loved it (just be aware that it may be too sweet for some people). I recommend this place !

It was a Wednesday and I had 4 hours to spend in the area. Once I saw Magnolia Bakery on my Google Maps-I headed there for their Banana Pudding. I had it years ago and this visit did not disappoint. Super easy, it was already prepped to go. It’s 50% homemade whipped cream and the rest is traditional banana pudding.

It’s honestly delicious and would recommend even if you’re not a fan of bananas. It had banana flavor or essence without being too overpowering. It’s a staple that deserves the hype. Yum

If you’re new to Magnolia Bakery just get the banana pudding, forget the cupcakes, just get any of the puddings in the little fridge on the side.

I have never had a dessert like this pudding, it is the perfect amount of sweet, with creamy textures, a nice bite with chopped up banana and the little soft wafers throughout complete the mouthful.

Trust me, it’s worth trying.

Only tried the banana pudding and the apple crisp pudding. I'm not super into bananas but the banana pudding was still good. The apple crisp stuff is incredible though, if they aren't sold out. The other problem is that what you get is a little inconsistent. Sometimes it's heavier on pudding, other times on the vanilla wafers. I haven't had one heavy on apples yet, but I've had one that had only a single piece of apple. That said it's still good, just not as good. Definitely recommend taking the risk as it's good no matter what.

We suggest to try their muffin and the red velvet. They are delicious.

OMG! Delicious, delicious, delicious! The carrot cake pudding is to die for...and don't get me started on the banana one! But seriously, make up your mind - is it cake or is it pudding? 🤪

All these years after living in the New York City, I’ve been coming across a lot about this bakery and its famous banana pudding. Thus, right after Christmas I decided to stop by this bakery after my work to take out the pudding.

It was quite a cute shop at the Bleeker Street in West village. There was a line, but it was fast moving. The guys behind the counter were quick and helpful. I picked up a small banana pudding container and since it was holiday season they’ve their holiday special Red Velvet cheesecake which was looking utterly delicious.

Now, writing about the taste, like any other folk I loved the pudding - freshly made, rich in flavor, and mouthwatering. Next time I’m definitely going to get a big container.

Being a red velvet enthusiast, the cheesecake was luscious and yummy! A must try during the holiday season.

So this is a busy place bring a little patience with you when you drop by. I definitely recommend the hummingbird cupcake! Yum! The peanut butter cheesecake was also creamy and delicious!

My favorite dessert spot for cupcakes & cakes. I love the red velvet cake & carrot cake. This is a great location because there's a park across the street to enjoy your treats.

Five star for Banana pudding. The texture and flavor both are amazing withou too sweet.
Brownie fudge one is ok. Blueberry pie is too sweet for me though.
The shop is not so much crowded when I visited in the late afternoon.

We could not leave New York without having a taste of its iconic banana pudding. The banana pudding was great and not too sweet which aids in binge eating the entire large cup. But my favourite was the blueberry cheesecake which was tastier than their banana pudding for me. I loved their blueberry cheesecake so much that I couldn’t even wait to click a picture before devouring it.

This is the very first outlet of Magnolia Bakery. If you've seen their modern and beautiful outlets inside the shopping mall, don't expect that this first outlet will be the same. It's because the way we enter this classic American bakery, it looks very modest. We were quite surprised even my friend thought that this wasn't the real one LOL (sorry about that thought 😅 actually, this is real).
For me, it looks like a center kitchen to produce all then distributing them to some outlets 😁
They don't have dining area, so it's only for togo.

Magnolia Bakery serves their signature and famous banana pudding, variant of cupcakes, cakes in sliced and whole, cookies & brownies, coffee, tea, and the other beverages. Everything is about sweetness here!

I definitely tried their Classic Banana Pudding in small size for $4.95. It's served cold in an ice cream cup. It's frozen, but it's better to eat it directly before the cream melts. It's a creamy and soft vanilla pudding with vanilla wafers and the real banana inside. I could say that it's sweet, but the sweetnes still suits my tastebud. I mean, it's not as overly sweet as the sweet desserts in the US.

NYC MUST TRY. I personally don’t even eat bananas HOWEVER this banana pudding is amazing. Everyone has their own opinions but I think if you have not tried Magnolia’s Banana Pudding… YOU SHOULD! It’s a perfect snack while roaming around NYC. There are many convenient locations, grab a spoon and enjoy!!

Stumbled on Magnolia Bakery while exploring NYC. Line was short near closing, perfect timing! Originally just for cheesecake, but the banana pudding stole the show (world-famous for a reason!). So delicious, I went back for more the next day!

I love the original Magnolia. The shop is small so be prepared to go in and order quickly. You can't beat a Magnolia cupcake or their banana pudding.

Beautiful store! I've been to the one near Rockefellar Center, and it's always packed with tourists. Which I get, but it kind of kills it. My hotel was near this one, so I got to try it without any rush to order or chaos of people. Don't be scared to buy one thing to try. We just wanted to try the banana pudding, and we got a small cup to share between the 3 of us, and then we continued our day. It was about $4-$5, I believe. It's definitely worth it.

Best bakery in the history of bakeries. There banana pudding is to DIE for and a must try. They often come out with seasonal flavors too so make sure you check and see if there is one. I love their cake slices and cupcakes too. Oh and no need to worry if you’re not in the city or don’t feel like waiting in the line, they ship anywhere! Just check out their website or ship on DoorDash.

My friend tried the red velvet cupcake and loved it! I can’t have anything here because I avoid products with egg. I wish they had more plant-based options!
Their legendary banana pudding was sold out when we visited, so I’d suggest getting there earlier in the evening if you’d like to try it. Apart from the food, this location is unique because it’s the original/first Magnolia Bakery location. The staff were polite and efficient, and the store itself is a quaint, visual treat!

Banana pudding was really yum. Well worth it. Cupcakes are great too.
