Something for EVERYONE! I had the London Road Burger which is EASILY one of the best I've ever had in my life. My mom got a steak which was incredible as well. And then you got their cocktails and desserts which were just phenomenal. Highly recommend the Wave of Passion Chocolate Cake and the Lemon Cake! Our service was perfect too. Drinks and food came out very quickly. We will be coming here every time we come up north!!!

I had my book launch/signing party (for my book Suck Less at Love: “She Said, He Said Advice on Relationships”) in the back room that has all the windows that overlook Lake Superior.

I love Black Woods! They’re always so good to me. We had our own server for the event, and he made sure all of my guests had what they needed, he checked in with me continuously throughout my event, and Kristy the manager was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

I’d definitely recommend Black Woods for your event or even for dinner. I’m never disappointed there, and the food and service are top notch 🫶🏼

Food was excellent, restaurant is beautiful and service was amazing. All in all an excellent time. Very accommodating for my aunt’s wheelchair. I had the coconut shrimp - fantastic large shrimp - the dipping sauce was a bit too sweet for me. My husband had a burger and really enjoyed it.

This place is amazing, the food was outstanding and the service was perfect. Started with the Tater tot appetizers. The agate sauce is a nice compliment. Tried the Chicken Schnitzel, the portion was huge! The Salted Carsmel Cheesecake was a great way to finish the night. Would def come back and have a steak.

Alot of options, and everything is made very well. I had a Salmon Burger, and my friend had the Bison burger, both were great! The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

We were there for the Armwrestling event, and it was awesome!

We came up from the cities to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had the top sirloin, my wife had the ribeye, both were fantastic! We discovered Blackwoods 4 years ago, we love this place!

I take my mom here every time she visits Duluth! She loves the cheese curds. Tonight we both ordered wings, I had the Thai chili and she had bar b que. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is awesome along with great service. Definitely a great spot for your special occasion

Honestly, it is the best place ever since we visited here in Duluth. Food was phenomenal! Our server was Evan, and he was amazing. I had some food allergies and had specific questions and he did an amazing job and went and doubled checked for me. They also have a lot of options for vegetarian and vegan options , and that alone made it amazing. The atmosphere was super calm and nice and again food and service was phenomenal!

This was my first time here. I came with my friend who highly recommended the cheese curds. They did not disappoint! They’re a MUST! For my supper, I decided to order something I never get at a restaurant and had the grilled meatloaf sandwich. It’s quite possible I’ll order it every single time because it was delicious!!!

I came here for after my wedding ceremony with 15 guests, Tristan was our server and he made no mistakes, which made for a perfect evening. everyone always had a new/full drink, everyone got exactly what they ordered, and the food was very tasty. i made the right choice for our first meal married🤍

Stopped in and ate with my wife. We ate at the bar, so there was no wait. Ordered the Bulldog Bites and the steak was really tender with a nice dipping sauce for the onion rings.
We each had a bowl of soup, chili and chicken dumpling (both very good flavor) and they came with a piece of cornbread that was fantastic. First time in my 54 year old life I have enjoyed cornbread. I have a strong feeling everything on the menu this chef makes is good. Well done Black Woods staff!!!!

Great food and great service! Will definitely be back! Laura H was our server and was very prompt and professional! We had the champagne chicken and quesadilla both were magnificent!

I was the Across Country Tours group. We were very welcomed. A person at my table had special dietary requirements and I was very impressed with how they very kindly accommodated her. Our food was fantastic. The servers were friendly and effecient. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the pot roast and it was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I had a sirloin, potatoes, and carrots! The carrots had good flavor, but were not cooked enough for my liking. My steak and potatoes were phenomenal! My husband got the ribeye and he said it was life changing, best steak he has ever had!

This place is amazing!!! We swung in quick for a few appetizers. Place was busy as heck, so we sat at the bar. Maria K was the bartender and she was GREAT! Super friendly, very easy to talk to, and made me a N/A drink I was craving. I gave her a small idea of what I wanted for taste and she blew that idea up! The drink she made me was PHENOMENAL! Anyway, our 4 appetizers were all amazing. We over ate! BUT we came back 5 hours later to do it all again! The GM made the special drink for us and the food was out of this world again!!

It was a pretty nice experience. Some of my extended family members love this place, which is why we came here. The food is personally a little outside what I'd be willing to spend on it, which is why I don't go there myself, but it does taste good. The atmosphere and staff were all on point and it was a great place for a little family outing.

Simply put: amazing! Will definitely be back! Service was above expected, atmosphere was great and food/drinks exceeded expectations! By no means is this a budget restaurant, but for the quality, variety and service this is way above standard and more than worth it. Cheese curds were delicious, chicken is to die for (observed right when walking in on the rotisserie), ribs were amazing and deserts were the final icing on the cake! Drinks were also an amazing compliment!

Visiting from out of town, and called ahead to see what the wait time was for lunch. We were told 10-15 minutes, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived that we were seated right away. Love the atmosphere and lake views! We ordered the Stuffed Tots for an appetizer, Lobster Ravioli, Swedish Meatballs, Chicken Pot Pie, and kids Mac n cheese for mains, and chocolate cake and salted caramel cheesecake (recommended by our waiter, Austin) for dessert. The food was beyond amazing!!! All of us were “wowed” with the menu selection!! I studied in Sweden and the Swedish meatballs are the best I’ve had!! We appreciated the quick service and Austin was great!!! Wouldn’t have guessed it was his second day on the job! Going to squeeze in another meal here before we head back home. Thank you for an outstanding meal and outstanding service!

I stopped in for a bite after hiking around the Twin Lakes. Did Not expect how incredibly fresh and superb the food was. It is definitely worth more than the prices they charge. Definitely eating here again often!

Everything about this place is fantastic! The food is top notch - whatever you eat, make sure it comes with their cornbread. You can thank me later. The lobster bisque is rich and creamy with small bits of lobster. All appetizers are filling and tasty as are the meals. The pot pie is a favorite with my crew. And just as amazing heated up the next day. And the pasta options....so filling and incredibly flavorful. Only dislike so far is the chicken/rib combo. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor and was dry - almost like a turkey consistency. And the ribs were just ok. Aside from that I have had wonderful food.
And the servers have been super great. Very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. And quite fast!
