Porcelite

We just had our bathroom tub, surround, walls, and floor refinished by Porcelite and it looks awesome! They did miss a small, maybe one inch, spot of caulk along the tub. Nothing we could not touch up ourselves and easier than the hassle of scheduling someone to come out for a literal minute of work. With some of our own remodeling our bathroom now looks like a multi-thousand dollar renovation with none of the cost or actual tear down of the bathroom. They were much cheaper than national chain refinishing companies, too.

The bathtub refinish job is beautiful and the service by Victor was excellent. I was referred to Porcelite by another happy Porcelite customer and am very pleased with the results.

Communication was great. They worked around my schedule and did a marvelous job. Will definitely use them again and will highly recommend.

I am not happy. The attached is a chip that. I spotted after they resurfaced our tub. There are lots of paint dripping as well. I shall see what they can do to repair these imperfections of their job.

Update. Mark from porcelite called me back and they will be repair in the chip. I will update after the repair job.

Update. Repair is done. It looks ok.

Summary: Horrendous communication, shameful treatment of customers, awful business practices.

Went over condition of the site and project details with the company, sent pictures of the bathroom. They acknowledged, and agreed to clean the tub upon arrival. We scheduled a service appointment. When the tech came he said he couldn't do the job because the bathroom wasn't clean (dusty from construction). I told the tech I sent the owner pictures of the project and they never told me to do anything. The tech said they usually send instructions. It's a small bathroom; figured the tech could prep as he needed, but he left. Owner texted me and said they were not coming back to do the job and blamed me. Despite going over in detail the condition of the tub, despite sending pictures and asking if I needed to do anything before they got there, the company blamed me and shamed me for not having the job ready.

Now I've wasted a week or more. The house I am working on was supposed to be ready in 3 days, now it wont be because of this company. Again, I can understand if they told me "make sure to do this, this, and this" prior to coming, but I sent them pictures, we clarified the condition of the tub, and they said "it's ok, we got it." Then when they arrived they said it wasn't ready. Just terrible communication, as well as unbelievable they'd blame me and then not come back to do the job. I can't believe someone would do business this way.

Going to the next company on the list, which was cheaper anyway, just had a longer wait time. Stay away from Porcelite.
