Always fresh, served piping hot. Our friendly server and server in training were great. They timed the appetizer to entree wonderfully and offered beverage refills frequently.
The "build your own" of sea scallops and clam strips was not disappointing. And the fish and chips was delicious (albeit made with sole instead of cod due to lack of current inventory). Our heaped over plate of onion rings and fantail shrimp was delicious. Just a Note: The Fantail shrimp lacked tails but we're scrumptious.
Seating by the window overlooking the bay and the lobster pots was idealic for a full coastal experience and made it worth the 2+ hour motorcycle ride in the rain.

Newick's is an institution. This is the place for your annual whole lobster. The space is vast and not much changed so you get a good dose of nostalgia. Don't expect fussy presentations and precious portions - it's heaps for size and paper plates. There are some post Covid upgrades - they added a large bar area which is where we always sit. There's a nice collection of regulars at the bar on taco/ margarita Tuesday. Its a good venue for family gatherings, association meetings and large groups - casual and easy going. I try not to eat a lot of fried food, but that's the specialty here - smelts being my favorite, and the home made potato chips are amazing - dip them in blue cheese dressing. Onion rings are great and typically massive. On the healthy side, I often get the steamers. They have a big selection of liquor now and an entire room of ice cream. For dessert, we've taken to getting a dish of ice cream and ordering a cordial or other tasty distilled beverage to pour over it. The staff is dedicated, fun and kind, some have been there for decades like their customers. If you're passing through the area it's an iconic New England experience.

Deb was our server, and she always touched our table to inquire about our needs. Excellent service. Fish Chowder was also excellent. We ordered fried clams, haddock nuggets, shrimp, and scallops. Superb quality! Ty

I had the thick clam chowder and the lobster stew. Both were excellent. However, the price of lobster was up in the tourist range.

Winter Lunch at Newick's... the service was great. We had a beautiful view of Great Bay & Fox Point. The meat was plentiful in the Lobster Stew. My Lobster Caesar Salad was overflowing with lobster. The perfect New England lunch. Thanks Newick's for a great meal.

It's been a very long time since I enjoyed a nice bite to eat at Newick's Lobster House. I remember late afternoons dining in with my family for special occasions. My great-grandmother would consistently rave about how phenomenal their clam chowder is... That being said, Newick's still holds up to its name! Food is as phenomenal as it always has been, and the new renevations made to the building bring a new life to this loving family restaurant. I absolutely recommend the onion rings as they are cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully.

Founded in 1948 by a lobster fisherman, it has survived a major fire and been rebuilt into a large restaurant and bar. We started going to Newicks in 1967, and while the surroundings have changed, the quality of its food has not. This is a classic New England seafood restaurant, with a large selection from oysters to lobsters to ‘steamers’ (soft shell clams). The menu has been recently updated, but hasn’t changed that much. We started with oysters on the half shell, fresh and delicious; Newick’s traditional thick clam chowder, always good; and anew item, puffed crab Rangoon, as good as it gets according to my son. For mains, my wife had coconut shrimp, excellent. My son had Fish & Chips with a side of Calamari, done to perfection. I had the Fish & Chips as well, but with a side of clam strips. Again, excellent and the clam strips surprised me with tenderness. More than enough to take home what we didn’t eat. Good drink menu, good selection of draft beers. Excellent service. Always a great place to eat. We haven’t been disappointed in 57 years!

I’ve been coming to Newick’s since I was a kid, and love that nothing changes here! Same great and happy service, same amazing lobstah stew, and same views of the water by the bay. I no longer live in NH, but always try to stop in for a bite when visiting family up in the lakes region! This place brings back so many happy memories :)

This is a place I would drive for. I had the scallops and clam strips. They were cooked perfectly and plentiful. Make sure to bring your appetite, the portions are huge! My husband had the fish and chips and he had 6 filets of fish!! The blueberry cobbler is amazing!!

It is a very casual atmosphere, so come as you are. They only do reservations for parties of 20 or more, but they have plenty of room.

This is a fantastic place for seafood!!

Simple good food that really hits the spot. Good service as well. The place could use a facelift though.

This place is a must stop if you are in the area and looking for an affordable seafood bite. The food is fantastic, lovely view of the waterfront, and service is warm & accommodating. I look forward to my next trip into the area so I can visit Newick’s again!

I grew up nearby and Newick's was always a staple whenever we went to the coast, so it only made sense to bring my own family when we came to visit from Pennsylvania. There was a short wait to be seated so we hung out in the lobby and my son was fascinated by the lobster tank in the lobby. The hostess was a very sweet young woman who pulled out a live lobster for him to say "hello" to. That kind of extra service really makes a place like Newick's stand out as something special.

The food was predictably great. Fresh fried seafood is hard to beat. My 2 year old son loved the original clam chowder. I challenged myself to eat the fisherman's platter for 2 by myself. My wife had a fried seafood combo. All were done to perfection.

The wait staff was polite and quick and checked on us regularly. The view of the bay was beautiful at sunset. Our waitress did tell us that our order of 2 dozen oysters would be slow prior to us continuing to order and we did end up canceling it after completing our meal without the oysters arriving, but that did not subtract from our night.

The only part of the meal that was lacking was the steamer clams, which were clam-shaped but completely flavorless. They weren't bad, just devoid of taste to the point that eating them was a weird sensation. Almost like they'd been left to sit in fresh water and lost all of their ocean flavor. But that was a very minor complaint.

If you are the New Hampshire seacoast I'd recommend Newick's as part of the quintessential singer experience. They're really good about seating large groups too.

Newicks is a tradition that is worth celebrating whenever you’re in the Seacoast area. The menu has not changed much and that’s a good thing. The food quality, service and prices all point to a great value for the entire family.

Newicks is always worth the two hour drive for fresh seafood. A NH tradition where the food and portions haven't changed. They now have Hershey's Icecream. Personally, I think they should feature homemade or a local brand.

Great location and service. I tried smelt for the first time and liked it. I think we were the only people that didn’t order a lobster roll. Apparently they are know for it. I think it would have been better than what we got.

We ate too much! But it was worth it. Stopped here in a recommendation from a local and (of course) it didn't disappoint.
While the place was basically empty at the time of our visit, it's clear they built it to be very busy - a humongous parking lot and the multiple 'dining rooms' that might as well be race tracks show that their food is sought after.

When our order came out, we immediately thought this was a mistake - two people can't eat this much fried goodness...but we tried anyway.
Fried shrimp, fish, clams; everything was deliciously crunchy and flavorful.

We'll come here again in the summer and during the day to sit by the window and watch the fishing boats.

We've been going to Newick's forever and you can always count on great service and great seafood. Fried clams and scallops are my go to meal but I've never had any bad food.

Great place. It's really big with alot of tables. Although it's supposed to be really busy in the summer it hasn't been overly busy when we have gone. The food is put of this world good. We had haddock nuggets, swordfish and haddock fillet. Great size servings. The staff is always friendly. Food is served hot. I love eating there. Stunning views. Windows every where to enjoy them.
