Their lamb chops were to die for. DEFINITELY must try these. Plus, I got extra because they were out of spinach. Nice ambiance as well.

I have been going here for the last eight years every xmas season when I'm in NYC.
I have read the reviews and was worried about the bad ones because the food was always good. I feared quality control set in and now they were just churning out Chef-Boy-Ardee meals from frozen packets.

I was so happy that the reviews are wrong. My wife and I had one of our best meals there on Friday Dec. 9th. My wife's Fettuccine Monte Carlo was best pasta I ever tasted. The noodles were delicious and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Trust me I go to some nice restaurants that are quite expensive, but this little place is still special to me and the food is great and you can walk out of there having a great meal and service for under $100.00 for two.

Went there twice because food is always good. The place disappointed me twice this time in town. Service so slow new tables were getting good before us. We found out they lost our order and forgot about us. 1hour later I finally said something and got the evil eye for not saying something sooner. They only offered one free drink, Wow, was really disappointed. Went back two nights later and they forgot my wife’s meal, I had to eat without her and then watch her eat by herself as I was finished with my meal 10 minutes before she got hers. A real disappointment, this WAS my favorite Midtown restaurant.

I guess I’ll find something new somewhere in the city that will treat us better.

wow. When I read the trashed reviews I know it's just spammers.
This little restaurant isn't trying to compete with the cloying, crowded Italian restaurant market in NYC. It's just committed to a tried & true formula of some 40 years (I asked how long): excellent, authentic Italian food at a fair price. More than fair for what you get. The Veal Piccata was perfectly done. The Lasagna had homemade noodles, just the right amount of cheeses and a generous touch of sauce made that morning. Wine selection excellent, most in the $45-60+ range/bottle.

The service. I'm not sure what others want but I like attention to details and if the service is going to err at all I'd like it to err on trying to please versus "I don't give a &$#%". This place was spot on with the balance. I also like a little personality in my server - not overbearing, just an acknowledgment that they aren't automatons. Again, just great.

All of us will be back again, whether on business or pleasure. This place ticks the boxes.

I really don’t understand why this restaurant has such a low rating. I’m glad we didn’t check reviews before trying it, as per usual, because we had an awesome experience. All the wait staff and other employees we encountered were welcoming, respectful, generous, and helpful. And the food and drinks were amazing! We had penne pesto and manicotti, as well as an apple martini and vanilla margarita. Highly recommended!

We loved this restaurant! Great service and the food was so good. Noodles and sauce made in the restaurant and you can tell. We also had the tiramisu for dessert and what a treat! Nice to sit down to a very home-feel restaurant where the staff made you feel welcome and cared for, which (in our experience) was a rare find in NYC!

We waited too late to make a Saturday evening pre-theater reservation closer to our hotel, and decided on this Via Italia as an alternative. Both the service and the food were fantastic. We had a delicious grilled asparagus appetizer, I had gnocchi bolognese, and my daughter had penne with marinara sauce. The manager was friendly and the waitress was prompt, professional and nice. We enjoyed our dining experience immensely!

I love this place! Every visit I've had great food, and left satisfied. If you're looking for gluten free bread or a kids menu with crayons, go someplace else. If you need a great Italian meal with a glass of chianti, then coffee and tiramisu for dessert, you'll love it!

A very nice vintage Italian restaurant. The food was OUTSTANDING! The waiter was great! Prices very good, which for New York City, and the portions you get, was a pleasant surprise.

A great hidden Italian gem in the Times Square neighborhood. Love the food. Great salads, great pasta dishes, great wine.

The ambiance is great for a business meeting or a romantic date. The servers are friendly with an alluring Italian accent.

The feeling of a true Italian restaurant was there as soon as we entered, the food was amazing and the service was just right, they didn't come too much to check on us, they just let us enjoy our food, only coming over if we asked! 10/10 would definitely come again!!

This is an awesome Italian restaurant on 46th Street near 6th Avenue. The menu has many fine Italian dishes, but don’t miss out on ordering a great starter or possibly fish for dinner. Also look to wash all of your food down with a great bottle of wine.

Luckily I was with a regular so we got in and seated quickly. Food was very good. My top three favorite fettuccine alfredo. The buffalla and the portobello appetizers were great.

We love this place. Come whenever we are in NYC. The tortellini quatro formaggio melts in your mouth, the gnocchi is fabulous, and they make a great veal meat ball. Yummy!

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants so far. Best service and reasonable prices.
