Liberty Moving & Storage

My experience with liberty moving was excellent. They moved my belongings from storage and then the rest from my house in New Hyde Park NY to Florida. They were careful and covered all the furniture with pads. A special thank you to Ce Ce and Kenneth. They were understanding and patient, especially when I had to cancel the pickup dated a couple of times.

Couldn't have asked for a better move experience. I've moved (5) times with professional movers, and this was by far the most seamless. Not a single item broken. They reassembled furniture that was honestly better assembled than it was before. The crew was extremely professional, friendly, and super helpful throughout the day. I'd strongly recommend Liberty Moving.

This was the best decision I ever made. I got a fair estimate and the they honored the price with no question. They were efficient, polite and quick. My move was many states away and they got there right on schedule with no problems. We couldn’t be more pleased!

I'm thrilled that I finally found a moving company that I will use over and over. The level of professionalism from the sales person to the coordinator to the movers, was outstanding! Every step of the way was pleasant and easy, and that's exactly what you need when you're moving... Can't recommend them enough.

If you are looking for a moving company you know how absurdly difficult choosing the right one can be. Reviews for all the big movers are, in general, awful, but the options are limited. Liberty is basically an agent for Unigroup which owns both Mayflower and United Van Lines. I wasn't excited about using either of those movers, but the reviews were so good for Liberty that we bit the bullet and took a chance. We were not disappointed- all those previous reviews were spot on. I peppered Rich and Tom with questions- drilled down on concerns about payment, and dug deep into how the insurance worked. Everyone at Liberty, though a bit stymied by my aggressive questioning , handled my concerns and worked with me to ally my fears. The move was interstate, from New York to Salt Lake , and we had several large glass cabinets that were both pricey and delicate. The whole process of moving is nerve wracking but I wasted a lot of nervous energy for nothing. The packers were excellent- they came on time, worked diligently, and had all our items ( except furniture) packed within 3 hours. The next day the movers came and packed the furniture. They were done in 4 hours. I was still convinced that the cabinets wouldn't make it in once piece , but the van driver, Greg, who has been in the business for 25+ years, knew exactly what he was doing and directed the movers with ease. Greg made it to SLC in 5 days, got our items unloaded and in place with the help of a crew of 3, and made us ecstatic when he revealed all cabinets intact! In point of fact, all the furniture was intact. All our boxes made it without a problem. In other words, the move was seamless. We couldn't have been more grateful. So a huge thanks to Liberty and particularly, Rich, Greg and Tom!

We had a great experience. The truck arrived early, the 3 men were very, very nice. You can see they were very experienced and worked well as a team. They took great care in moving our belonging. I would absoultly recommend Liberty! Thank you.

I had a great experience using Liberty to move from NJ to MA. Gary F. and Tami A. were super helpful setting up the details of the move and were very accommodating for our tight schedule. Jimmy and Paula, who moved our belongings, couldn't have been nicer and were incredibly efficient and careful. I highly recommend and would use again.

In 2023 we moved from NY to Florida. Liberty was awesome! From our first meeting with Stephen T in NY, through the drop off in Florida with Sergio and Junior; all went seamlessly. They are professional, responsible, and a trust worthy company to deal with. We would definitely use Liberty again, and highly recommend their services.

I’m leaving the 5 star review for now as up to this point everyone and everything have been amazing but please read this first for a NEGATIVE update (original/honest feedback after pick up but before this change below)

The same day, not less than 6 hours after my things were loaded I get a call that my delivery to my destination will now be delivered late. United is one of the biggest moving companies in the US and I was told that the reason it will be late is they were notified by dispatch they don’t have a driver to start the drive until almost the last day of the ORIGINAL deliver date spread. The delivery was planned for the 13th-18th and now they say they can’t even get on the road until the 17th for a delivery after the 21st. How does a national company not have a scheduler aware of when drivers are available well enough in advance to plan and schedule an accurate delivery date range???? Hoping someone in leadership and dispatch can find a solution and while I planned and packed enough to carry me through the original next ~11 days without my home I did not plan on 2+ weeks of being without things I need to start a new job 1700 miles away! (Moving from NJ below nyc to Miami)

Super friendly, efficient and careful movers came this morning, loaded up my house in 2 hours and got it all done. Right on time when they stated in advance and they called me when they were 10 minutes out. Came in, walked through my place to go over all the items and then got right to work. Very happy with everything so far, now just need to see how everything arrives next week at my new place! The mount of olives crew was amazing!!

Moving is as stressful as anything. My experience with Liberty Moving was not only seamless it was actually enjoyable! Will and his crew were careful, respectful, efficient and quick. True pros! I would recommend Liberty to anyone who wants great service and at a reasonable price!!

We worked with Ken Kuzma on our cross country move from NYC to Denver. Ken was fantastic coordinating everything and the guys who packed up our stuff took great care on both ends of our move to make it as easy as possible for us. I would highly recommend working with Ken and team.

Liberty Moving &Storage certainly exceeded our expectations. My wife and I were very impressed with the extreme care the movers handled our possessions. The crew chief, Patrick is certainly an asset to the company. He and the moving staff were very courteous and professional. It was absolutely amazing that a move from New York to Georgia would go so seamlessly and without any damage. I had Liberty moving move me out of one home on Long Island to another home on Long Island. The men who came were very professional, they assisted me with everything I needed along the way! when it came to unloading the truck at my new home, they reminded me of an issue I had with one of my items are that I needed to not place it in the home until the issue was remedied. Each and every one of these men were professional, respectful, and helpful.
If I ever move again, you can be sure that I will call them for the move.

I have had the pleasure of using Liberty twice for a cross country move - NY to LA - moves that were complicated by taking place at extremely short notice and having to deal with delays before being able to move in to my new lodgings. Liberty dealt with it all, at very reasonable rates. More singificantly, everything was expertly packed and everything made it, which has not always my experience with moving companies.

Packing and move across country was excellent. In particular, Eddie, who drove the van was meticulous, efficient, caring about both the customer and the contents, deserves special praise. The two men he had from the AZ area were also excellent. Thank you to Eddie, Marivel and the entire Liberty/United team.

Me and my fiancé used Liberty back in March 2023. We moved from NY to Raleigh and honestly, the experience couldn't have gone smoother. Our rep, Marisa, helped us with all of our needs and even allowed some wiggle room on price. I highly recommend Liberty!

Moving is not fun, but this company excelled in all they did for us. Tami and Gary were extremely helpful and the movers were very careful with our things.

To begin with Darlene and I spoke for nearly an hour and she is truly a gift to your company! Choosing a mover especially in NYC can be very difficult. Thank you for your experience, knowledge and great personality! Darlene even went a step further and put me in direct contact with Matt Sussman who was going on vacation and he put us ahead of his vacation with excellent customer service and everything else to put our minds at ease and we went full forward with Liberty Moving & Storage.
Matt is the best of the best all the way around, not missing a beat throughout the process of inventory to packing to the actual move. On the packing side, I've never seen a team so efficient as Alex and his team! Wow! Franklin and his moving team were just as efficient on the moving/ loading end of the process!
Tami our coordinator was a star in pulling it all together and keeping us in the loop of dates and timelines. Finally, Gregory our driver from NYC to Houston was right on time with his Houston crew and were magical in bringing all of our belongings into our new home. On top of that from pick up to delivery it only took a week!

They are the best! I have moved a lot with the military, but never as efficiently and thoroughly as with Liberty. Not only did they take me on a short 1 week notice, but they were able to pack and load my entire 4 bedroom house in 1 day. They took everything, and the fragile items were all bubble wrapped carefully. I even had the email with the complete package list before they left. Thanks!
