Northtowne Animal Clinic

We were a last minute appointment after our dog was injured over the weekend. I called this morning with zero expectations of being able to be seen. Hilary got back to me quickly with an open slot. Once we got there the staff was attentive and really caring with our girl. They took her back for her all cleaned up and came and talked to us making us feel so much better about the situation. We were taken care of quickly and the entire staff were amazing!! Will definitely be getting our other dog seen there in the future!

Took my dog for the first time today. It was a very nice appointment. My dog is kinda big and usually unruly. They were all so good with him. Just an overall good experience from the initial call to make an appointment to getting him cared for.

The staff at Northtowne Animal Clinic are the best of the best. I have been taking my animals there for more than 15 years and they are our Heros! I know I can count on them for top of the line care, compassion, and kindness for me and my babies. Dr. Herrick is a brilliant vet and his skills have always impressed me. He has done far more for us than I ever expected. Heather (my personal favorite tech) treats each animal she cares for like her own and I have always appreciated her attention to detail. Angela, the receptionist, is always so accommodating, honest, and caring even in my worst moments. Every person that has worked there is exceptional. Dr. Herrick has built an amazing practice full of true professional caregivers. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I hope they never leave!

Dr Herrick and team are the best. I have only had good experiences with them. I know they really care about my fur babies and have helped them through some really rough times. I trust them completely. I recently moved out of town and will still drive about an hour so he can treat my babies. I can’t recommend them enough. They all have so much empathy and care for all the animals in their care. They are amazing.

Dr.Herrick and staff : especially Angela and Heather - are amazing !! I have VERY difficult, aggressive pit bull rescues and I’m SUPER picky how they are handled -
We have since moved from Newark but I drive my animals there for ALL appointments and even nail trims ! Amazing staff - that’s what makes a Vet’s office successful! I highly recommend / and recommend to everyone I know - this is a quality place with great customer service. You will NOT be disappointed!!

I'm editing this because a simple 5 start rating isn't enough. We've been going here for about 4 years now and they are amazing with both our cats and our dog. Our cats have herpes and they were caring and explained to me how to restrain them to give them their eye and nose medicine for it. We just got our dog less than a year ago and her puppy shots were reasonably priced. She got a uti this past Friday and they were able to get us in within an hour of calling. All the staff is amazing and they take great care of my babies❤🐱🐶

Dr. Herrick and his staff are fantastic. I have been with them for over ten years now. He and his staff treat the pets like they are their own. Their customer service is like no other that I have seen. If you do not take your pets to them, you are missing out.

I can't say enough about how much I love this office and all of the staff that run it. They are kind, caring, helpful and go the extra mile for my fur babies. Anytime I call them and need something they figure out a way to help. My dogs enjoy going there and they are so good with them. I feel like they love my boys as much as I do and that means everything!

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Herrick at Northtowne for over a decade. We have never received anything but stellar care in both routine and emergent situations with our pets there. They are very reliable. I highly recommend Northtowne, they have a compassionate, well trained staff and provide excellent veterinary care.

Dr. Chad is for lack of a better word, PHENOMENAL. He makes sure to continue his education and always has the most up-to-date info for me! I am a thorough, fact fanatic and if he doesn't know the complete answer to one of my off-the-wall questions, he will call his specialist friends or do his own research then get back to me. I am a professional breeder and dog trainer so I rely on his wealth of knowledge to help me give my clients the best service possible. Chad is very passionate about his job and has a level of compassion and empathy you don't often see in this field. He and his staff never cease to give above and beyond what you would expect from an animal practice. They call to check on my animals if they have been Ill even after hours from their personal phones! They know all my pets by name and always have smiling faces. They cry with me and laugh with me. Such a wonderful group of people. I recommend them to everyone! They are just 10 minutes from me but I would travel hours to use them if I had to. Thanks Dr.Chad and the team- special thanks to Angela for dealing with my crazy schedule and forgetfulness, Heather, Lynn, Danielle and Nicole for loving my babies and cleaning up lots of messes! ❤

We have been clients for over 15 years….with a total of 5 golden Retrievers as patients at the practice. We wouldn’t consider going anywhere but to Northtowne. They treat our dogs (and us) as family. Excellent care, and we count on Dr. Herrick for his sound and honest advice.

I am thrilled with the staff!! They were kind, explained everything, and my dog loved them! I've never seen her wag her tail at a vet tech before but today she was a happy girl! So glad I chose Northtowne!

Amazing staff. They took such good care of my puppy and they were super affordable. Only $80 for her first visit, exam, trimmed her nails, gave her shots, her heart worm preventive and I even got a free nexguard flea preventive. Everyone told me how pretty and well behaved she was and they were very gentle with her. Will definitely be taking my cats here as well

Dr. Herrick is wonderful, absolutely wonderful! I thoroughly trust him with my pets! However, a huge part of my love for Northtowne is Corinna! She is the sweetest, most caring and compassionate vet tech i have ever met! I got wind of her being let go! I have to say, I am very disappointed! I know several other people who bring their pets to your clinic! A huge part of the reason they love it there is because of Corinna! I think letting her go was a huge mistake!

I just recently moved to North Carolina and my golden retriever got a hot spot. After calling over 20 places around with no help I called his previous vet (northtowne) and within 30 minutes they called in a prescription to my nearest Walgreens. If you live near Newark Ohio I highly recommend bringing your pet here. The staff is extremely nice and helpful!

for more then 10 years now. They are animal lovers and it shows in every caring deed they do. From our first visit with a puppy to the last day of our beloved fur-kids...they care for our feelings as much as they care for our pets.

The whole staff is great and accommodate your needs. They have gone above and beyond for my big guy every time. I highly recommend Dr. Herrick and his great techs! I especially enjoy Heather who has made a special connection with my dog.
