Just say the customer service is phenomenal pack that with amazing pastries and VEGAN options oh and did I mention custom made cakes if you have allergies like me!!!! ❤😩 the vegan cupcakes were so fresh and delicious and creamy I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend

Got the red velvet cupcake, my mom got a slice of carrot cake and a Carmel chocolate cupcake. I really liked it. Yummy and moist.

El Cerrito is fortunate to have this bakery. It has fantastic cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and breakfast pastries. Don't sleep on their scones- I didn't know scones could taste good before this.

This is a bakery you get a cake from when you have something to celebrate and want to impress people. It's a bakery that you go to when you want a step up from very good. It's the kind of place that inspires one to write a review. You deserve to go to this bakery.

Stopped by one morning to grab some breakfast. Left with a cheesecake, a croissant, and a few scones. Everything was good, but the cheesecake and scones were beyond. The owners were very kind as well!

Their baked goods are some of the best. We served this tiramisu at a special family dinner and at least three people said that it was the best they had ever had. PennDell's has a relatively small menu but everything that I've had from there is exellent.

Process:
I placed a gluten-free red velvet cake order earlier in the week for pick up on Saturday for an event. Got an email for order placement and then I called to confirm order and gave payment details. Went in Saturday to pick up the cake and then also picked up pumpkin muffins and gluten-free brownies. Process for pickup was easy.

Tasting:
Muffins were light, fluffy and delicious. Brownies were rich and delicious. Given the nature of gluten-free baked goods, I expect the cake already to be a little denser. The gluten-free red velvet cake was denser, but the texture was within range of being good and it tasted phenomenal. I love cream cheese frosting and this made me so happy.

+They accommodated my request for Christmas decorations on top of cake. The piping on top was done well and gave it that little bit of holiday cheer for my event.

WHAT a total find! I came in not sure what to expect. But oh golly their biscuits are really amazing. I bought a big bag of muffins home with 2 biscuits. AND my husband took one bit and then hid the other biscuit from me. These are THAT good.

Glad I finally stopped by. Friendly staff and fair prices. Made my two little ones very happy. Will come back to try new things.

I found this amazing bakery recently when I found myself nearby and needed a birthday cake for my wife. In particular, a carrot cake. There was one in the display case that was too large for just the two of us. The wonderful staff scrambled only 90 minutes before closing and put together the most delicious carrot cake we’ve ever had. The moist, dense, rich cake was decorated with a thick cream cheese frosting making our celebration one too remember.
I highly recommend this bakery that brings back the good old days of what a bakery really can do.

I was able to pick up a last minute decadent chocolate cake for my mom. They wrote on top so beautifully (gold dust with chocolate writing) - very classy. Great value. Love that they tell you not to put it in the fridge - a sign of chefs who know chocolate, care about flavor and quality.

Super high-quality, charming, and excellent local bakery! The owners are delightful and so kind. We've probably tried every category of baked good here and have loved them all. Top favorites are the tiramisu, orange poppyseed muffin, apricot bar, butter biscuit, coffee cake, and the cheese cake.

We had the savory biscuits and the streusel muffins! Awesome taste and not dry at all like some others, very fluffy.
There’s a big selection of pastry’s, I would love to see a few more breakfast items, especially freshly made croissants, that would be bomb!!

We really enjoyed our yummy baked goods from PennDel's! I was happy with the variety of items for the soft open, they had what I was looking for. In particular, we enjoyed the gluten free peach/pecan muffins - the taste and texture are delightful, just what I was hoping to enjoy! The vegan brownie is delicious and a real treat. I know once they are full time there will be even more ways to amaze and delight. So glad PennDel is here. Yay!

PennDel’s Bakehouse is a brand new bakery in El Cerrito. My daughter and I went on opening day. It’s so nice to have a bakery in our village. I’m excited to write that we truly enjoyed the muffins (including gluten free muffins).

I had the Apple Streusel muffins which were divine. My daughter got the peach/pecan gluten free muffins. They, too, were delicious. My favorite was the vegan brownie, which they gave us as free samples. OMG. These are so good. These will be my go to treats.

I hope that once we can dine in, they serve coffee and tea. It’s a cute place and they will be one of the few cafes in the area ( watch out SB’s). Even if they just offer carafes of coffee and hot water. That would be a great start!

Kudos to Penn and Del!

Best bakery in the east bay and it's not even close. Buttercream brought tears to my wife's eyes. Muffins and scones are superior. Owners and workers are beyond friendly. Wanna brighten your day? Head there now.

My new favorite bakery. I can't wait until my son's birthday so that I can buy him a carrot cake. I'm addicted to their green onion garlic cheddar biscuits. So good!
