As much as you can love the Assessor..lol. Seriously, super helpful, zero wait time if you hit them late in the day. The only downside can be traffic on Wells.

Staff there was so helpful. We were filing a homestead on our house and we were pretty sure we had the correct paperwork but....some paperwork for official documents can be confusing. Anyway, we did it all correct! Yay! Robin at the front desk was so personable and that made things so much easier. Plenty of parking, easy in and out of the parking lot. Thanks Robin!

When you need documents recorded the staff at the Washoe County Assessors office are the best in the country. I have recorded documents in several states and hands down the ladies at Washoe County treat everyone with respect and understanding. Experienced professionals. If you call a live person always answers.

As a veteran with an exemption on my government services taxes, one of the clerks, "Melanie", walked me through the Nevada DMV vehicle registration process allowing me to SAVE over $350. Last year I'd paid the whole amount ($450) and this time it really paid off, literally, to call and ask for help determining just how to apply my exemption to the DMV registration.
(The DMV has it at the bottom left of their page and not very conspicuously.)
