Our party of older and younger kids all found ways to spend hours here. There is so much of so many varied activities that makes this place amazing. On this Wednesday, ages under 5 were allowed in early. There is a designated area for younger kids. Children are allowed to draw on a glass wall. They are allowed to build whatever they imagine with a variety of objects. Children are not only taught but they are encouraged to explore and experience. There is water, a river, that might require a change of shirts or close supervision. There are a series of clouds enclosed with steel netting to climb up that our kids spent a lot of time in. Too much to even try to list it all, and for a reasonable price. Every child should experience this at least once and preferably again and again

Amazing time with my son at this fully interactive discovery museum. We came to visit family in Reno for a week and stayed downtown and most activities are geared towards adults. This place was a gem to find! And I even dropped my debit card on the ground and a nice samaritan picked it up and turned it in! Overall, the experience was excellent and we will return!

We really enjoyed our visit to the Discovery! 💡 There are many interactive exhibits and experiences! I really liked the big tire 🛞 you can walk under and the plane ✈ you can sit down in! 😁A great place to visit solo or family trip! 🗺
Souvenir shop was excellent 🙌 There was many neat science stickers 🧫 🧪

My toddler spent a delighted hour and a half in just one room! Educational, hands-on play is everywhere. As a teacher, I am delighted with all the activities my children get to enjoy here.
The staff are polite and helpful. The whole building is wheelchair accessible so bringing a stroller is easy.
I am overjoyed that my children have a safe place to play when the weather is too cold or too hot for regular playgrounds. I definitely recommend getting a membership.

A stellar place to take the kids and fun for the adults too! It can get crowded from time to time. Be sure to bring an extra pair of clothes for the little kiddos in case they get pretty wet playing in the water feature. We ended up buying a family pass and it's been well worth the price.

We were here for a birthday party, our first time visiting this museum! The birthday room was spacious and staff was easily available. The staff were throughout the rooms & all friendly, sharing kind welcoming smiles and “hellos” to us. My kids already want to go back 😊

Celebrated our girl's 1st birthday in the orange party room. Staff was very nice and everyone had a great time. Refrigerator in the party room was very helpful as were the carts that we could use to load/unload. I would definitely recommend for a birthday party or just a visit.

My boys are 9, 12, 14 and they loved it! They had a fun science experience all the kids we enthralled and engaged having so much! It was super busy because of fall break. There new exhibit is amazing you get to see them feed a turtle at 1pm and a sloth at 4pm! Not sure if its the same everyday! I've been taking my kids here since they opened and every time there is something fun and exciting going on! I absolutely love the mind bender mansion! Its so fun trying to figure out the puzzles! The staff are so fun to talk to and they keep the kids excited about learning and they are always smiling and just so sweet!

Really wish this place opened earlier. You could beat the heat an spend more time here. Honestly there is so much to explore and spend time doing you would need to come back 3/4 times to get it all in.

Some exhibits lacked info or instructions, didn’t work, had no one around to help, or was so busy even waiting 30 mins we had to skip.

I do recommend that they get another car for the little kids area. That seemed much more popular. One car with 5/7 kids all trying to use it. I’d also recommend a staff member there to encourage parental involvement. There were kids who were outside the age range making it difficult for the little ones to actually play an parents acting like it was free daycare just sitting scrolling on their phones. While other kids really wanted a turn with the car. Parents need to work on teaching kids to take turns.

The wood shop was another favorite, but we missed it an didn’t get to it till late. Meaning we didn’t have much time to fully use its area to its full potential. You could easily spend the day in there with all the choices. We had 10 mins unfortunately due to time constraints.

The parking lot is a decent size but by the time we came out at 1130 it was full.

If I’m ever in Reno again I would definitely stop here. Staff overall were great.

The museum seems small but my kids played here for many hours and didn't want to leave! Live scientific lecture for children. Puzzle room. A very interesting exposition of a mountain river with which children can play. When you want to be a child again and play, you realize that this is a really special museum.

This was just amazing, much better than any Bay area children's museum. There were so many things to do -- we spent ten minutes at every station, we barely saw half of the things and we were there for almost two hours. The demonstration was great, too!

Awesome science museum for the whole family. We had to go back another day on our way back from California to get the full experience. Friendly and informative staff.

This was very interesting, informative, and so much! We, 2 adults, went here because I hadn't been here in years and wanted to see the changes. I had a blast and my buddy had fun too. They had a deal where every was half off at the end of the day, but honestly I'd pay the full price to have all day to see and try everything.
There is a souvenir and gift store which I highly recommend for finding that one of a kind gift. And the store is available without having to pay entrance fee.
Plenty of restrooms, factoids, booths and for me, the most fun was tactile learning.
They have so much to try for yourself and do I have to go back to finish!
There was a flyer for an adult only event. I was going to be out of town, but that sounds like it would be a special event
If I had kids, this would be in the list for a birthday event!!!

We just got home from the Museum and we truly enjoyed the "Survival of the slowest". I brought my 2 grandbabies ages 15 months and 27 months along with my 14 y/o granddaughter. We enjoyed seeing the live animals and not only getting to watch the large tortoises get fed but was given food to toss in and feed them. This is a great place to bring the kids, the water feature is always a hit!

I would like to suggest that since toddlers do go in everyroom that you invest in plug covers for all of your outlets and either tape the cords down or get them covered up and away from the youngins. It is not safe. Also there wasn't anyone monitoring the art room and the painting window could have used cleaning. Find something that toddlers can draw with better and is safe for them.

My kids loved this museum. We are visiting the Reno area and have a museum membership in another state. The Discovery was partnered with our museum so we got in free. This museum has awesome hands on exhibits and lots of stuff to play on. My kids especially loved the craft room where they can be creative and make stuff using the museums supplies. Perfect museum to keep kids occupied for hours.

This place is so awesome. There are so many different themed rooms to explore. My kids loved the giant cloud climbing structure and its indoor river. This one is a must stop for us anytime we are in Reno

I've loved this place since it opened in 2011. Now I have a toddler and she squeals with joy when we pull up. Little Discoveries is perfect to let your kids under 5 to find friends and explore

Love this museum! My kiddo is only 1 so there isn't as much for him to do but he still had a blast with his little, 4 year old cousin. Educational play at its best and we love the Wednesday after 4 pm deal where everyone is $5.

We were visiting this place from out of town and thought it would be a nice place to visit for our 3 year old. Well, it turned out great because not only did he have a blast, but the wife and I were enjoying the Einstein area and puzzles as well, lol. Definitely a blast!
