Cafe Pizzaiolo

I was recently introduced to Cafe Pizzaiolo, and I love it. I'm so lucky it's in my neighborhood! The gluten-free pizza crust is thin and crisp (which I like a lot), and their pizza flavor combos are delicious. You can also design your own pizza.

Their salads are good, too.

I live 30 miles from Cafe Pizzaiolo so it's not a restaurant I often visit. It is right next to my Volvo dealership in Alexandria, VA. My family really likes it when I take my vehicle in for service. They know I am going to load up on Pizza. I'm from Philly and I am particular about my pizza. They are the best I've found and the service is fantastic.

So we’ve been searching for our new local pizza joint, we order from Café Pizzaiolo our order arrived, and it was incorrect. However, we called back and spoke with Hobbie and he was quick to correct the problem. We ordered the fried cheese, which was still hot and delicious. The Italian salad was very authentic and the dressing was amazing. The pizza we originally ordered is on its way, however the cheese pizza that we did get was hot, perfectly cooked and delicious.
We will definitely be back!!!

The inside is small but smelled good when we walked in. There’s a good amount of outdoor seating as well. Pizza was served hot and prompt. The pizza was good! The crust was thin, cheese was good and it wasn’t too greasy. Would go back for another pizza or to try their other food

Contrary to a recent review by others, Pizzaolo is alive and well! They open at 10:30 daily and still have their brunch menu.

This is a great local place with incredibly friendly service and a casual vibe. Tables, bar seating, outdoor seating all available.

We love this place and appreciate the customer service. This story has a good ending. We ordered dinner here last night for us and guests. Unfortunately the restaurant forgot one of our entrees. I called to get it delivered. They said the kitchen was now closed and they had no delivery drivers so we could only get a refund. This left one of us without dinner. But a minute later, the young man I spoke with called back and said he would make and deliver it himself. It arrived a little while later while we were still eating. We very much appreciated this effort. Mistakes happen. How a business handles — and remedies them — is the important part. And this business delivered. Literally.

If you love NJ/NY Pizza, this is one of the BEST places in all of NoVA to get it! It is truly spot on. Good weekly food specials, full bar and café style outside seating.

Best pizza inside the beltway. Highly recommended!

Awesome, Friendly staff.. Great Relaxed atmosphere. The food was top-notch. I had the eggs, bacon and Home-fried Potatoes.. DELICIOUS! They are Known for their awesome Pizza .. so, I can't wait to come back and try that! This is my new go to for early morning breakfast. (SORRY for no pictures.. I ate it too fast!)

The food here is amazing. No contest. The service can be bad some of the times, but not often. With a good selection of beer and wine it can easily make compensate while waiting. There is something about their pizza that is so good I can eat a whole large one almost everytime. It is also very child friendly and a has a great atmosphere.

I do tend to give out 5 stars because I don't go to places where I waste my money. I walked from Old Town 2 miles to this great pizzeria. I live part year in the NY Finger Lakes where they KNOW pizza. This matches any pizza in Syracuse or nearby towns. The BEST is thin crust NY pizza with mushrooms coupled with something we cannot normally eat here--roasted beet and goat cheese salad. The extensive beer collection ranges from the common to the local microbrews and sublime international beers. And it's kind friendly too. A great place to people watch from sidewalk tables. A+++

Food was amazing. The staff is also always knitting, it’s great. I was greeted by a nice young man named Hobie. Said he was the manager but is built like a stick.

What a hidden gem! Huge menu with lots of options from salads to sandwiches to pizzas and everything is delicious.

Great service / good food! We love this place! Better than any high end restaurant in Old Town - that have all gone downhill!

there's a lot of good things on the menu and good variety but mostly Italian and the craft beer is exceptional although it's quite expensive I thought at $8.50 a piece. I had their minestrone soup and it was very large bore and very tasty although they don't have any saltine crackers in the restaurant. I also tried some appetizers and they were just here we are standard. but the waiter was more than friendly and very personable so it made it all if I start experience in a very good neighborhood pub, which is a very popular place

Great, friendly staff with a laid back, casual atmosphere and excellent beer & wine selection. All 5 of us were delighted! Chicken Marsala is incredible!

Great food, authentically Italian and the staff couldn't be nicer...they really extend themselves. Artworks painted on pizza boxes by enthusiastic customers, are hung on walls and give the restaurant a real sense of home and community. Looking forward to our next visit!
