Amazing & so delicious!! We visited for breakfast!! So many colorful choices. We tried a few items & each one was so yummy!! I’dlove to be able to visit again! I saw Tomato Basil Soup. Said they were famous for it. I love that. Must go again some day!!

Great place to have lunch, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. Not very crowded and I noticed a lot of people just reading a newspaper or a book. No rush here.
Update - Great place to get a warm meal during cold weather.

I visited here for the first time. My experience was very welcoming and inviting. The food was delicious as well. Lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy a cappuccino while you’re at it! Imagining I’m in France at this sweet and cozy French cafe!

Stopped in a mid morning coffee and croissant. The staff greeted me and offered assistance once I approached the case. A good selection of French pastries/desserts available. Cafe Latte and Almond Croissant we're delicious. Staff was friendly. My only feedback would be labeling - I didn't know where to order what and where to put my dishes when I was done, but staff were more than helpful in assistant me even though I went to the wrong register and didn't know what to do with my tray. Otherwise this authentic gem was exactly what I was hoping for. Adequate seating available, small outdoor patio as well. I didn't order food but they have a menu available. Decor was very relaxed/provincial french, very attractively done. I felt like you would stumble into a place like this in France - not boutiquish and done up with frills, but you know they don't need it because they're attracting customers based on what they're serving up. I've never been to France so I can't say for sure, but I expect they're doing a wonderful job! I stayed nearby and walked, but location was easy to find. There are a lot of negative reviews as of recent but I sincerely enjoyed myself and would absolutely go back. The pastry was fresh and delicious, warm and flaky with tons of almond. The cafe latte was hot, accurate amount of foam and good tasting espresso. Highly recommend trying!

Needless to say that we fell in love with this French bakery! It was our first stop for brunch on our anniversary weekend getaway. Staff was friendly, no wait at all (lucky us!) food arrived quickly and omg!! So delicious!! My husband wanted to stop by there for brunch everyday! But unfortunately we couldn’t, we had an agenda to follow!! But will definitely be back as soon as we can!

Ok. This is the place for great European type pastry. I must stop by just for them. I am a chocolate freak and they do not disappoint. We also like the pecan as well. Parking can be a challenge sometimes in old town Alexandria. There is a paid parking garage directly underneath it. During evenings and weekends, it is really reasonably priced to park. I will park there for any activity and pickup something sweet on the way back to the garage. Check it out.

I've come here a few times, I am from out of town but my work is in Alexandria. I stay at the Alexandrian hotel and this is my #1 go-to for breakfast whenever I'm in town. The food is delicious, and the coffee is excellent. I love the little tables and decor too. Really feels like a cozy space!

Out of this world food, can’t believe it’s a chain. Some of the best espresso I’ve ever had, good enough to enjoy black. Pastries are decadent and delicious. Came back for lunch and everything was great. Avocado toast is an elevated French take on the dish, salad was fresh and crisp, the salmon was savory. If you’re in Alexandria, stop by for any meal or just coffee, you’ll be glad you did.

We love this cafe!!! Ordered some soup and coconut cake. It was one of the best coconut cakes I have had!! Now I want to go back for some more. I wish I lived closer, so that I could stop by every day.

This was my first visit so their ordering system was a bit confusing. You order at the door, go through a kind of line, pay, and then go find your own table. I got the cinnamon croissant, pictured, which was very hard but softened with the syrup. Big fan of the $5 mimosa, including your own bottle and orange juice carafe.

Can't be beat for their selection of cakes and pastries to go along with your coffee or tea. My croissant was loaded with chocolate and almonds, but wasn't too sweet. Lots of room to spread out for social distancing or there are sidewalk tables to enjoy a nice summer day.

Great place for a quick lunch and convenient to the hotel we were staying in. Loved their quiches and the tomato basil soup so much that we bought some of each to take home with us.

A lot of space, great desserts and coffee is also good. The interior is kinda French.

Lovely service. People who worked there were outstanding! Food was fast to us and delicious.

Excellent Mocha! Very light mocha much more chocolatey and less sweet than many I have had. Great selection of desserts and very reasonable prices.

I love this store. The staff are friendly, the food is nearly always fresh and delicious (one time the bread seemed a little stale and a kid's pizza was burnt), but overall I love this place so much I wish they served iced oatmilk matcha lattes to complete my happiness. Also, maybe add a couple items to the menu. It's a staple if I'm feeling under the weather because it cheers me right up. Parking is hit or miss.... be prepared to walk. There's pretty ample seating inside and the bathrooms are clean. You can also learn French as you go! Obviously, a bonus!
