I recently moved to Carrollton and wanted to find coffee nearby for the days I’m not at work. This spot is so cute!! Beautifully decorated and clean inside. Customer service was excellent as well. I ordered an iced almond milk latte with honey & cinnamon. It was absolutely delicious, 10/10! There are no critiques, however if they added a second size choice to the menu (24 oz, quad shot), that would be *even* better. I will certainly be a new regular here :)

A beautiful addition to the area. Located just over the James River Bridge (if you're coming from the peninsula) is 54 Beans. It's cozy, chic spot with more than enough room to accommodate your morning coffee-addicts. I tried their hot milky way latte with almond milk this afternoon and it did not disappoint. Their espresso is STRONG, which is a plus! If you're passing through Carrollton or Newport News, this detour will surely be worth your time.

Lovely little coffee shop! Coffee is very smooth and muffins are HUGE! A very boho/modern/nature themed coffee shop! very comfy little chairs and couch! Staff is super friendly! My friend and I ordered cappuccinos with muffins, delicious! Also, clean bathrooms, which is also comforting to know that they clean well!

I almost don’t want to leave them a great review because I don’t want this gem of a place to be slammed with people tomorrow! 😂

Adorable, quaint, quiet, and a fantastic place to get some work done. WiFi, plenty of seating, music is at a reasonable volume, and again, great coffee and tea.

Such a cute atmosphere and friendly staff. 🌟 Loved the iced latte I had! Super smooth and not too sweet. Muffin was huge but SO GOOD! Prices are better than franchise coffee. Definitely will be going back. ☕

The coffee is so yummy some of the best I have ever had, i was so excited when I took a friend there, they actually put a design with cream in my coffee!!

I just had one of the best cappuccinos I've had in quite a while. Love that they support local -- from the art on the walls to the pastries they serve. The Barista was incredibly friendly and helpful. Spacious and free Wi-Fi! Seems like a fun place to catch up with friends. I'll be back real soon.

Friendly staff, beautiful decor, and very good coffee. I had an iced drink that was carbonated. It took a bit of getting used to, but was very good and something I have not had before. If I am nearby again, I will stop in.

54 Beans hit a home run with the new veggie sandwich (High Noon) and mini cucumber salad- it's absolutely scrumptious! Who knew vegetables could be so good . . .the owner/creator sure did! A coffee cold brew accompanying this delight made it all the more delicious. 54 Beans is not just a great coffee shop, it is an experience - caring dedication to creating a sense of community.

I stopped by for the first time the other morning. The owner was outgoing, sweet, and genuinely interested in helping me pick a coffee I would enjoy. Very clean and well put together establishment with a great small town feel. We need more businesses and owners like this.

Great coffee shop! Lots of specialty coffees and teas to please the whole crowd. Personable and friendly service. Never feel rushed when placing an order. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Sausage, egg and cheese on a buttery home made biscuit was scrumptious. The vibe and service were exceptional. Can’t wait to visit again.

First time at this quaint coffee shop. First impression, very open and clean, loved it. Great art work by locals on the wall. It was cozy and comfortable with all the plants around and the seating. Met some friends and had coffee and breakfast biscuit (huge biscuit ). We will be meeting there at least twice a month. Hope everyone who checks it out enjoys it as much as my friends and I did.

Stopped in for some caffeine. I had the most delicious Chai latte with apple syrup! They were really sweet and checked to make sure the syrup was gluten free.

Hubby and I stopped by this coffee shop this morning. The atmosphere is very calm with unassuming clean lines and modern decor. Per hubby, the pour over coffee was very good! He is most definitely a very selective coffee drinker so that is a huge compliment! I am not a coffee drinker so their drip selection with cream and a simple syrup was just perfect. Customer service was great and our server (owner?) was engaging and pleasant to interact with. My one disappointment is that they do not offer breakfast items besides muffins but I have a feeling that as their clientele increases this will follow. We will be back as often as possible to support this small local business. This is Carrolton’s newest hidden gem and we look forward to share in its success.

The owner & workers are super nice & helpful, even if you don't know "beans" about coffee! They have no problem helping you decide what you want
