Dolci Gelati

Delicious gelato and extremely kind staff! While waiting for dinner reservations, a short walk around Old Town led us to Dolci Gelati. I was blown away by the warm and welcoming interior design of the establishment. The staff working was very quick to take my order and was happy to make recommendations. Apart from Gelato, they also have the most amazing espresso. Whether it’s for a quick caffeine hit or to satisfy a sweet tooth craving, Dolci Gelati is a must on your next trip to Old Town!

I go to Dolci Gelati often. I almost want to keep it a secret now because it is far more peaceful compared to coffee/ice cream shops in Old Town. I tried many flavors of gelato and they are all good. I am in Old Town all the time. This is one of my favorite places. I wish they had a frequent client discount. Maybe they do?

Amazing gelato shop! The ice cream is very delicious and smooth. The salted caramel is so good - it has a very strong flavor. My husband enjoyed the coconut and peppermint flavors. And the prices are reasonable and the staff are nice.

Definitely recommend trying this gelato shop in old town Alexandria.

The sorbet is so good. The young people serving your scoops are very welcoming and polite. A small scoop is enough to fill you up. Perfect sweet treat for a Saturday. I had the strawberry lavender and lemon sorbet. Delicious!

Great breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The baristas are quick and capable. Nice place to sit and have breakfast if you time it right or are lucky enough to find a table.

They were open late and I was in the mood for a decaf latte which they did have. Cute Cafe with seating inside and outside courtyard. Coffee was delicious and the staff was friendly.

A conveniently located place to get really good coffee and gelato. Next door to the Visitors Center and across the street from a bus stop, it's the perfect place to start or end your day in Old Town.

This place is not just good for ice cream - the pastries and breakfast items are divine. The staff are hard working and very service-oriented. The decor inside is also super cute. Would highly recommend!

I love these guys! I'm a tour guide in the area and always pop in for something hot in the winter or something cool in the summer. The staff could not be more friendly, and the drinks are always great- mochas and frozen lemon-aid are their secret weapons here.

Cute place with delicious flavors of gelato and amazing cappuccinos. Great place for a treat after dinner and a quick burst of caffeine before embarking on a ghost tour! Definitely worth a visit.

Yummy gelato and coffee. There is a nice post up front to lock your bike and a hidden outdoor spot in the back to enjoy some peace. Some tour group sat in the area next to this place and the tour guide told them a story. Apparently the place is haunted by a bride from the 1800s.

What an awesome find! Randomly stopped in here one night with my family and we were overwhelmed with flavor options. The folks behind the counter were so friendly and happy to give us some of the gelato "backstories" so everyone could make a decision. My father went back for seconds, the award winning candied lemon peel gelato was so good.

This business got its start in 2006 with flavors like Thai Coconut Lemongrass. But if you're more on the traditional side don't worry, they've got that too. 🙂

The Old Town location is pooch friendly, with dog biscuits at the front counter. It's also community friendly, with a board on the wall that shares local business, classes, and events!

Delicious coffee and ice cream. Ice cream flavors are self made. Shoutout to the friendliest server I’ve ever met (the guy in the pink shirt). His commitment to finish the painting even whenever he has a few spare minutes.

We came here on a crazy hot Sunday. I tried the oat milk latte and mint-chocolate, hazelnut gelato. It was definitely the best coffee I’ve ever had and the gelato was really good. They have very nice and quiet sitting area. Employees are super friendly too! Definitely recommend this cozy place.

I ordered mocha and almond gelato. Both of them are great! They perfectly match with hot coffee. There’re several chairs/table available. Coffee is really affordable: a small size starts at $2.50. Also, there’re some chairs like three or four in front of the shop.

Great spot for some delicious gelato! They have great flavors with lots of options. There is plenty of seating options perfect for hanging out and enjoying gelato.

Great service. Location is at the heart of Old Town. Ambiance was great at the patio in the garden was amazing. I got the Affogato with hazelnut and it was amazing. Will come again

Stopped in at Dolci Gelati to grab a coffee on a chilly morning in March. Such a friendly and welcoming place and the coffee perfectly hit the spot.
