I’ve only gone for the night life part. Never disappoints. Great for a few drinks and dancing. Cool crowd with stellar vibes. Definitely feels like a speakeasy as you’re walking down the quiet cobblestone stairs into a bumping party

Loved the place. Small underground place, that turns into a dancing floor with good music, disco ball and lights. At first entry you wouldn't guess the place for such a vibe, it was a bit quiet with tables around the place and bar chairs. I'm not sure about the time but they take the tables on the floor out and a dj comes with great all time favs and current hits.
The only upside is it is a smoking bar so basically you have to be a smoker or a person who doesn't mind the smell as almost everyone smokes inside. Might go once just for the music and dance but the smoke is too much for a non-smoker.

The downstairs basement bar is the only reason you should go here. If you want a classic cocktail "crafted" by a Victorian Era barber who isn't pretentious but whose mustache says he is, while being located in a soft-lit space that used to be a Baptist church/grain silo, this is NOT the place for you. Go away! How did you get here?! Bayou Room is that beautiful rarity which is an authentic, organic, dive bar. The atmosphere, much like your friend in middle school who visits his dad every other weekend and introduced you to whippits, is comfortably sketchy. If you're a mistress waiting for a senator to reply to your texts, a D&D group that does cocaine occasionally, a non-binary wedding party overflowing with justified confidence, or if you enjoy hearing stories from bartenders after you buy them a shot this is the place to be! Welcome home! Oh, and you can smoke in here.

Love this place! Great cigar bar. Classy spot with good food. Bartenders are nice, and you can smoke at the bar. The music is usually too loud for the small space but you can also go into the closed off lounge area where it's quieter and there's a TV.

Closest thing to a club in Old Town. Always a fun crowd and a good vibe. You can also smoke indoors, if that's your thing. The ventilation is very good, so it's not usually very smoky.

I was walking down King Street and heard some old school music playing. Course I had to go in and I actually shook my tail feathers a little, LOL small place downstairs but it was cool. Went upstairs and listen to the live band who was playing a little Blues. That was nice to but they do allow smoking in there. I didn't stay long at either place but I would definitely go back.

Almost feels like a Dive Bar underneath the restaurant. You are able to get a good deal on drinks as well as smoke cigars. We were there in the late afternoon and were really the only ones there but still had a great time as we were able to connect with the bartender and watch the Nats game.

I have only lived in Alexandria for two weeks and the bayou room was the first bar I have been too. The service and atmosphere were amazing. Suzanne knows her stuff and I have already been back again thanks to the terrific service. Highly recommend!!

Alexandria has a cool New Orleans type of room here. Great customer service, dark and smoky. Will recommend and return soon. Great Happy Hour prices!

This was a pleasant but accidental discovery. It is down below the street level and has a really cool vibe. A very nice speakeasy feel. Good drinks and bartender.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere

My girlfriend calls this the old people bar LOL! Drinks are reasonably priced and the music is fun to dance to. We always have a great time there.

Lovely place. Wonderful. Stopped here on vacation and loved. 5/5 will definatley go here again. Bartender is funny and amazing company. Atmosphere is amazing and relaxing.

The DJ Thursday night was on fire. My family really enjoyed it for the Family Reunion.
