My fiance and I love this place! We frequent it. Alison, the manager, is very accommodating and delightful, and the employees are friendly and fantastic. Scott, the owner, is a great guy too. We love to grab a glass of wine and sit and people watch. The offerings in the store are very special, gourmet and unique. The freshly baked brownies are outrageously delicious. They also have a newer location in Old Town that I would recommend.

Slater’s Market is top notch. They have excellent sandwiches and a variety of wine and beer that you wouldn’t expect from a neighborhood market. The staff is always smiling and helpful. The owner Scott is totally dedicated to its success. Shoutout to Alison and Malcolm (and others there whose names I can’t recall). They all rock it there. Scott’s other place in Old Town at the bottom of King Street is up and coming and worth your visit.

Amazing Sandwich shop !! I honestly don’t usually have a craving for sandwiches but today I wanting 1 and this spot was near, I’m glad I stopped by great location and walking in just felt right the wine and the chips was available. The staff was nice and very helping considering this was my 1st time she gave me a lot of recommendations. In my opinion the prices are pretty reasonable. I would recommend giving this spot a try definitely worth it 👍🏼👍🏼

This place never misses the mark. Great service and the sandwiches are arguably some of the best in the DMV. My go-to is the Slaters Club on Sourdough.

Today was one of those foodie finds that blew my mind, the kind that makes you feel lucky to have such quality food in your neighborhood.
It's Slater's Market sandwich guys! This was my first time here, and I placed my order with the guy behind the till. I asked for the chicken sandwich, and he asked how I wanted it. I said, "Surprise me," and thank goodness I did. Wow! I have never had a sandwich that blew my mind like this one. It was rich, tasty, juicy, and absolutely delicious. It was a multigrain bread, freshly tasting chicken, cheese not sure which kind and the rest of the seasoning I wish I knew, I guess I have found "the one."

I think I just ate the best New England clam chowder I’ve ever had in my life…. I’m from MA and it tastes like home. Please make it a permanent menu item! The sandwiches are great too. Glad I found this place.

This place has some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The bread tastes freshly baked and has a wonderful texture, the sandwiches are well-constructed so nothing is ever soggy, the ingredients used are fantastic and form unique and delicious flavor combinations, and the chips they offer are wonderful. I love getting lunch from Slaters!

Wonderful little sandwich shop! Just tried it for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. We got a Sundried Dream sandwich and a Old Town Tuna, both of them were great!

As we were leaving, they pulled brownies out of the oven. Needless to say, I will be back to try those as well.

The Dublin really hit the spot today. I can't wait to try other sandwiches. Found my new lunch spot! Great selection, a little pricey, very delicious. Shop is small and cozy with only outdoor seating but you can order online if in a hurry. Place was busy and I got my to go order in 5 minutes.

Great spot to grab a sandwich or a good bottle of wine. Good hospitality. Seating inside and outside. They have punch cards for frequent customers.

Small but sweet. This place has delicious sandwich and so amazing homemade desserts, oh and a great wine selection. If you're looking for a spot to satisfy a brunch or lunch, I absolutely recommend Slater's.

Extremely friendly and they carry Trickling Springs Ice Cream! A nice selection of fine drinks and deli items. They carry fresh baguettes and Illy coffee too.

All around wonderful experience every time. Food is all made with quality ingredients. The excellent service will surprise you too. The staff is warm and seem to constantly go above and beyond the level of polite service you might be expecting.

Fun! The flavor ice cream didn’t matter as much as the service. The woman behind the counter asked if I wanted…a cone …. a cup…or a cone in a cup :) Of course I laughed and opted for a cone in a cup. Thank you! The ice cream tasted great too (salted caramel)

So if you read my posts you know already I love Mom and Pop places... they like what they do here and as usual it is evident by the product. They don't make sandwiches the create and reflect their passion. The shop is clean and very nice decor. I am sure they will make you what ever you want but they have a great menu full of combinations that make the pallet and your stomach happy. They are pleasant and professional and i love the fact they are intentionally a neighborhood shop, but don't let that stop you from going out of your way to get a sandwich.

I will leave you with this.. this place.. the first ingredient they use is love.. love of their customer, love of their creations, and it seem love of life... Molto Bella!!

Absolutely incredible. The sandwiches are the best in town. They taste like a professional chef made something for himself that he'd actually want to eat. Do not miss out.

First time here and I’m so lucky to live right down the street! I had the Alaskan, hubby ordered the Bobby’s chicken salad. Absolutely delicious! Service was quick and friendly. A new fave!
