Harris Teeter

Harris Teeter has done it again! The employees at this store are always friendly and helpful. However, today, Harris Teeter employee Arthur (who works in the Frozen Food Department), was particularly helpful. I was trying to find frozen roasted garlic. Arthur helped me search the entire frozen food section. While the search was not successful (it appears that Harris Teeter does not carry this item), Arthur was able to show me peeled garlic in the Produce Section. As turns out, the peeled garlic is a wonderful alternative. Kudos to Arthur for excellent, five star service.

Renting a house near by for the week and we walked to this grocery store to get some groceries. The store is well setup and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our first plan was to bag everything and walk back to the house and the ladies fixed us up that would help us get back with all our bags. After we loaded up all our stuff decided we would booked an Uber to pick us up and carry us back to house. We forgot one item at checkout and the helpful folks there came outside and found us to bring our fruit tray out. Will be shopping here for all our needs when in the area.

An amazing store. Walked in by accident in search of Starbucks and was pleasantly surprised. Baked goods were absolutely amazing with great variety and gourmet styles. The produce was fresh and prices very descent. Super friendly staff. Pleasant surprise for DMV area. Olga

One of the best grocery shop. They have wide range of organic fruits and vegetables. Their bakery is amazing. Specially the cakes are very delicious.

I came by this grocery store at right about noon today with hunger in my mind. My initial thought was to purchase one of their ready-made sandwiches. I found out quickly that they strangely had no sandwiches prepared today. While in the deli section I noticed huge prepared pizzas that looked absolutely delicious! Allen who works in this section eagerly served me up two slices of the supreme pizza. He heated them up and put them in 2 pizza boxes. He then thanked me for trying his wonderful pizza that he prepared himself. Allen was right! I haven't had pizza this delicious in a minute! This grocery store really is a step above most other chain grocery stores in the area.

Harris Teeter has done it again! I invited my colleague out for lunch and we got some deli sandwiches. Miss Tammie from the deli was delightful and pleasant. She made our sandwiches with love; YUMMY! YAY to Miss Tammie!

I've shopped here for years. It is a great store, although the staff seems very limited at checkout. Top not guy in the produce department, Amin *sic, is awesome and always goes above and beyond. He's a valuable asset and one of the main reasons I still shop there.

Just visited this location in old town and I will have to say this is my favorite Harris Teeter in the DMV. And honestly the best place to get sea food. The VIC special often makes it very affordable. Lorel was the gentleman that help me out. The young man with the dreads and his customers service was amazing. I appreciated his patience. I hate shopping in a grocery stores but that feeling might have just changed. It’s comfortable, clean and inviting.

Jayne, the seafood goddess, saved my entire weekend a few weeks ago. She went above and beyond anything I could expect. I was in need of some country ham for ham biscuits I was making that afternoon for a tailgate the next morning, which is apparently difficult to find in Northern Virginia, but Jayne was able to find some at a different Harris Teeter and was able to get it delivered to that store within half an hour. Upon arrival, she helped me determine how much I needed, the best cuts of ham, and what might be the best way to fit in what I needed. She was helpful, kind, knowledgeable, fun, and extremely accommodating. She is everything you hope for in an employee. While a life-long Harris Teeter customer, I prefer this location and will continue to get my groceries from this location as long as live in the area. Jayne is a rockstar and amazing. She saved the day for me and provided the best grocery store experience I have ever had. Thank you Jayne!!!

Always courteous, helpful. The customer service associate today, she was overwhelmingly nice to people that have personal issues and they respected her.

Everything I needed today was available. It's typical that the shelves are well stocked. Self checkout attendant is super nice.

I used to go in (and sometimes do for small shopping trips), but for the last 3.5 years have been using their ExpressLane service, and I regret nothing. Being able to shop on the app and pick up is so convenient, and I appreciate how helpful the staff is when something I want is out of stock. Everyone who has brought the groceries out to my car has been so kind. I don’t know if every Harris Teeter is like this, but I feel lucky to have this at my local shop.

This store is always clean and well organized. I Don't normally write reviews for grocery stores, but I had an absolutely outstanding experience here this evening. Your cashier, Andrea, is incredibly warm and welcoming. She goes above and beyond to make your customers feel welcome. Keep up the great work!

I'm on vacation from Philadelphia to Alexandra, Va . and it has been very nice here! People are friendly of Hi and Good morning and it is very clean and nice to take a walk around to sight see I visited Harris Teeter food market for the first walking there and I have to say I am impress of the store layout and aisle and aisle that are clearly labeled to find what you need! The market is stocked well with everything from produce, cheese of every type as possible, meats that are displayed so nicely and a butcher that special cut of choice! It is very clean and the people that work in store were so nice, pleasant and with greetings in which sure is nice at the time of covid. The prices of items such as laundry detergent, cleaning products, meats, breakfast food, soda, juice ,boxed teas of variety. The store is well kept and very clean that is the extra best and welcoming for a new shopper like myself! You will be satisfied if you visit Alexandria, Va. make sure you shop at Harris Teeter it is a great place to shop for groceries!

I just wanted to give a major shout out to the following employees for going above and beyond tonight!! I had a horrible experience at a local competitor just before arriving to the store. I wanted to order a bridal shower cake and John Bannister, Jabari, Elbi, and Camesha were all very helpful and provided us the best customer service!! We even had subs made by John Bannister and he went above and beyond to make sure that we had the freshest ingredients and were satisfied before leaving! So often people complain and I feel the need to give this team amazing praise!Please let them.know that they are appreciated !!!

This review is specifically for the grocery pickup service ($4.95 for the service). I started using this service about 3 months ago and couldn’t be happier with the efficiency of this process. I tried other grocery stores and waited 15+ min but I’ve never waited even 5 minutes at Harris Teeter Old town. My groceries are always fresh and if anything isn’t available, the shopper will call and let me know. I just purchased the yearlong pickup service because I’m so happy with it. Thank you!

This is one of the best stores I shop at in many many years. The associates are very helpful and courteous, the people at the register are considerate and always accommodate my preferences about bagging stuff. They are also very fast and I never found the slightest mistake at the register. In the neighborhood this is the only store that is so big that it has everything one needs. I highly recommend. Thank you for making my shopping experience so pleasant!

It was great to find a full-sized grocery store within walking distance of my workplace! I got their hot meals and was really pleased by the quality of the meal, the ease of locating utensils and napkins, and the array of interesting drink options. The store was also really clean and had a friendly design.

Really love the store and they have a large selection of items for a relatively small space. The employees are courteous and pleasant unlike a large chain store where everyone seems dead eyed. There is one minor issue i have, and that is the location of baked chips. I love baked chips and for some reason they keep changing where they place them. Just leave them in the chip aisle!

Edit: They started selling Baked chips shortly after posting this review!
