Del Ray United Methodist Church

A great group welcomes you to join in worship, study, and fun! The church has been in the heart of Del Ray for more than 100 years and blends all ages into a vibrant community. Sunday morning worship and Sunday school, Wednesday evening worship, weeknight study groups, a variety of mission projects, and great social events.

I found a home when I answered an ad to work at Del Ray UMC some 7 years ago. What a warm and inviting place to come everyday. I love the congregation...full of some of my favorite people! Come check us out!

Pastor is down to earth and nice person. Preaches and teaches according to the Bible. Music leader is very talented and friendly.

Even though we are now out of town, we love visiting Del Ray UMC. One of the friendliest churches I know!

The Alexandria Concert Band used the church's basement for practice. I played in the Alexandria Concert Band for several weeks. While there, the basement floor was dirty and dusty. The women's bathrooms had rust all over the stalls, a soiled baby changing cushion, rust and lime encrusted faucets, and dusty floors. I addressed this with the Alexandria Concert Band's management. They told me to not worry. I addressed this with Del Ray UMC. I was told not to worry. I am concerned my health and others. It is a big problem when health issues are not corrected, and individuals do not address the filth.

Whatever you're looking for, you won't find it here. If you attend for a decade and then leave and later return for a visit after the absence of a year or two, you will discover that no one even noticed that you were gone. Don't waste years of your time, finding that out. Also, a dozen long-term members I have known very well have relocated to other nearby churches. They did so because they were unhappy in this place, and their relocations occurred for good reasons.

I go their every month of the year to celebrate God the women their are so awesome and gracious and I love them their hearts are so precious!
