Nice little library. Gave me that nostalgic feeling from visiting my elementary library. Brought back fond memories. Nicely kept

Solid selection of books, games, puzzles, etc. Staff was knowledgeable, street parking only.

This is an adorable bookstore with a large children's section and a growing YA/adult section. They also have a collection of toys and novelty items.

I stopped by when I was on a business trip. The people running the store were very polite. One employee with curly brown hair was especially helpful and gave me a few book recommendations.

If you're traveling and want to grab a souvenir, or if you're just looking for your next great read-I'd definitely recommend this adorable bookstore.

I found this book store yesterday,when i went in i did not know what to expect then i saw how clean and friendly they were very helpful and a great selection of books for all ages i found lots of good books got a good a mount from there today i be back agane very soon the staff very helpful.I like that they show case local writers i highly recommend this book shop i am shure you will like it i do.

I found Hooray for Books! by accident on a trip to Alexandria, and now make a point of going there when I'm back. The team running it are lovely, the selection of books is absolutely excellent, and the physical store itself has a really nice atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough.

Whether you're looking for kids books or adult books, I cannot recommend this place enough! Sam is the nicest and helped us find all kinds of great reads and honestly might be some kind of mind reader because the recommendations were SPOT ON. We'll definitely be back!

It's easy to want to like independent shops, particularly bookstores, but hard in practice to patron them with the options online. We've made a huge effort to bring our kids to Hooray for Books because it's just that special kind of place that you want your kids to grow up knowing. They'll have guest authors come in which the kids love, and the staff have always been extremely helpful.

Truly kid-friendly. They let you browse forever and in addition to a nice little play/reading nook, they are laid back about the little ones running around. I've found their story times to be a little less engaging than what you typically see at the libraries, but still worth a trip since the kids will love exploring the store.

I’ve visited Old Town for many years and have worked in Old Town for almost a year now. I just found this bookstore today during a walk. Love it! Cute atmosphere, great assortment of books and other neat items, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I recommend everyone and anyone visit. I went in with the notion that I was just going to look around, but found a few books I couldn’t leave the store without and kept a few in mind for my next visit. Going back (soon)!

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Who truly care about what it means to have a local bookstore. They're able to order any book you like and offer a small but wide range of books at the store.

Awesome place!!! Please come here. They have a huge selection of children's books, but they also have a very well thought out collection of books for adults. Yet the best part about this book store is the book club. It is open to anyone with a passion for reading and the book choices have been excellent. The woman who leads the book club puts a lot of thought and time into it. The quality of the books we read and conversation we have reflects that.

A charming little bookstore filled with mostly children's books. Colorful displays are filled with quality children's literature and although it's a small bookstore, the selection of books is impeccable. There is a section filled with adult books with thick-cushioned sofa-chairs available for lounging. The staff were friendly and a clean bathroom was available.

Horray for Books is a gem. They don't have a cafe. They don't have background music. They don't have all the distractions normalized by big book shops. They have helpful staff. They have a couple comfy couches. They have a large selection of books for toddler to young-adult ages. They host author events, story times and more. Support this local bookshop and never let a Borders or B&N move into Old Town.

Ellen was so super helpful. It's an amazing experience to discuss books and authors to fit your reading needs. I visited this store two out of the three days I spent in Alexandria, VA. This establishment has books, stickers, games and educational toys for all ages and interest. I plan to stop in on my return trip in the new year.

Charming local bookstore located on King Street in the Old Town area.

Love this book store. Very friendly staff and a nice assortment for both kids and adults. We didn't leave the store with a book (although we found many we'd like.) We ended up buying a board game! Great place to find all sorts of items.
