Great museum to take kids and or just explore. Tons of amateur and professional models inside to look at.
It is free to enter and walk around.
The staff there are very friendly and help you in learning whatever you would like to know!
There is a boardwalk out back with nice views accompanied by local wildlife and waterways.
This place is never too busy. Although it is a small building and a small attraction compared to other museums, there will almost always be near to no wait to get in and look around.

Attached are some photos of the boardwalk behind the park. I couldn't find any of the photos I took of the aircraft themself

This a very nice hidden gem. My son absolutely enjoyed himself. Including the reading room with a place to sit and read the many books available. There are many displays about the history of planes and all of the roles they have played throughout time. They have a Tuskegee and a women in planes section also. This was very informative and very beautiful to look at inside and out. Planes and exhibits larger than life.

Absolutely a great time, Historic relics of the past wars and space missions, The gentleman there was extremely helpful and so very kind to us.He truly made a good day great. I suggest you visit this free Roadside Beauty that is completely free by the way.

This is mostly outside, so make sure you visit with good weather. The outside and the inside are both about 30 minutes worth of walking around and reading. The outside is gravel and will pose a problem for people with difficulty walking or for wheelchairs. You can get very close to several cold war and Vietnam era jet aircraft and rockets. The building is small but includes several hundred, well-made plastic model aircraft. They are well organized by country and time period. There is a nearby but unrelated raised walking path that goes over a marsh. --- definitely worth checking out. You can access it from the rear of the Air Power Park.

Great little free museum. Some old rockets and planes to look at and a small museum with lots of model planes. Great for a quick stop.

If you have the time to stop and look around, it's a very cool place! Make sure to sign the guest book before you leave. They were doing revitalization till July 4th, so some of the park was closed.

This museum is one of those little hidden gems. The city has obviously made a commitment to support it because of the current renovations, which means this facility will continue to operate. VERY friendly people, great exhibits, one of the few places you can touch history.

Nice park to view some war aircraft. There's a small playground for the kids to play. There is also a lake behind the facility. The museum is small but filled with cool model aircraft and a kids room and it's free! There's also a trail you can walk.

Great museum. Not overwhelming like some of the giant ones. The kids loved it. Harold was extremely helpful and gave the kids lots of good information.

I grew up going to there as a kid and it was a lot of fun so this was a lot of good memories for me bringing my grandchildren. However, it was disappointing as you can't go up and touch the airplanes or go up inside them.Anymore like we used to because someone did something stupid.Of course.

Great bike path goes from Air Park to Peninsula Town Center and to Blue Bird Gap Farm. We did a 7 mile round trip today.

Friendly staff allowed our large group to wander around and use the bathrooms. The aircraft are starting to show their age, but they are maintained.

Honestly made me feel bad. Wished I had more to donate to the park. It's free, looks to be under funded but obviously the people behind it care enough to make it available to the public. Worth while to me since I'm a space nerd. The kids enjoyed the long bridge and harassing the wild life.

Being retired Air Force I love seeing these old airplanes. I worked on a few of them in my day!

This was our 1st time taking the path trail. Scenic, peaceful and worth the walk. Best time to go right before dark you watch your shadows. Nothing to do with no money, Hampton offers a lot of places for a well deserved walking date.

Free admission. The planes outside have been painted and look nice compared to the last time I saw them. The staff inside was very knowledgeable and informative as to what you're looking at inside.
