Fitness One

My experience at this gym has been great, overall. My experience is based on morning visits several times a week for over two months. I lift heavy, following a high intensity low-rep, high weight protocol. There are ample plate machines and free weights here to support my current goals and future progress. The Atlantis ISO machines are in great condition and can be loaded very heavily. There aren't a lot of powerlifters / bodybuilders at the gym so there usually isn't much of a wait to get the equipment. There are always sanitizing wipes available and there are several water dispensers throughout the gym.

This is just my experience, it may vary for you at different times or if you have different goals.

Pros: high quality machines, well maintained, cable and plate machines, tons of cardio, lots of space, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, easy parking, moderately clean workout areas, 24/7 access, pool and saunas. Tons of classes and what seems like a vibrant fitness community for senior members.

Cons: the hot tub is frequently out of order, men's locker room etiquette can be very cringe (not unique to this gym). Gentlemen, please put your 🏀🏀 away and keep your bare 🍑 off the surfaces.

All in all, I give this gym five stars. I've been to dozens of gyms, this is one of the best. I was at Crunch before this and this is an upgrade. Worth the price difference, in my opinion.

Nice gym, offered a free three day trial pass at the time of visit. They'll contact you by email, text, and call to get ahold of you if you sign up online for it. They'll keep your ID while you work out. Classes while visiting were very full. Large weight and cardio areas with a large assortment of equipment. The gym was clean and the other patrons were mostly polite and happy to help if there were any issues adjusting things on unfamiliar machines. They also have a smoothie bar with plant based protein available (in addition to not).

I'm a quite senior citizen, Silver Sneakers person. I find Fitness One great. Very well run. Friendly, competent, and helpful staff. Excellent variety and quantity of machines & stations. The awesome jocks get along fine sharing with the low level people like myself

This place is awesome and worth the price considering the renovations and maintenance that they do. They’re annually replacing equipment. I’ve seen some people from my work and high school there and I’ve been inspired to continue working out because of it. I’ve been going to this gym on and off since high school.

When I first signed up I got free access to the aqua massage, a free t shirt, and if I recall correctly a personal trainer. Shoutouts to the Fitness One and the staff member that gave me those things!

Good equipment, good customer service, amazing pool, great sauna/steam room, clean bathrooms

I love this gym. It's big enough to accommodate lots of ppl without feeling like it's cramped. The indoor pool is amazing and the steam room is a bonus.

Great gym in Las cruces. As a newbie to Las Cruces, I feel my safety is of the utmost priority. This gym makes me feel safe to enter, do my exercise and leave at any time of the day. In fact, it is probably the only place that has people of all-genders working out late night.

In addition to wide variety of equipment, the gym comes with a well maintained climbing wall, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam rooms. And a big bonus of water massage.

Changing rooms are well maintained and clean.

Update: Since my review, I have come across multiple people using cameras in the locker room. The management has to be clear on these things. Also please people stop taking photos in the locker room especially when people are changing in the background.

The staff is so nice, the pool is wonderful - temp of the water is perfectly cool. The entire facility is clean and it's spacious including the locker area and restrooms. I think the fee is fair considering what they offer. I am there very early in the morning amd/or early afternoon and it's not too busy. Thank you.

The most modern, complete gym in Cruces, no holds barred

Fitness one is my go to spot they have impeccable amenities. Like when do you find a dry sauna and a humidity sauna and a distance pool and a rock wall and a full basketball court all in the same building. They have classes, along with stationary bikes, free weight or machine suspended weights. Place is adult health disney center oh yeah also a juice bar

Stopped at Fitness One the day after Christmas while visiting New Mexico and couldn’t have been more pleased. Counter staff was friendly and helpful and got me signed in on a day pass promptly. The facility And machines are clean and well maintained. Bring a towel ( no towel service) and have a great workout.

Great gym! Clean, a lot of variety of equipment. When it's busy it's not overly crowded. Good value! (And they follow the latest CDC/Governor of NM guidelines, thank you).

Great atmosphere, machines are open and work properly, great benefits for the price with the sauna, pool, and basketball court alone compared to other gyms in the area. And a plus for being open 24/7

I've trained at numerous gyms all over the country and this one has been my fav thus far.. its clean, spacious, welcoming, and I love the fact that the array of fitness classes are included in the membership.
What I appreciate most about this gym is that its only $15 a month for childcare and the girls that watch my daughter are absolutely lovely! No other gym in town has this and as a mother, its been such a huge help in achieving my fitness goals!
I also enjoy that it saves me a trip to the tanning salon; There are different packages you can purchase but I only pay $27 for a whole month of unlimited tanning. This gym rocks and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else in town. As cheesy as it sounds, the people here are like family to us; and that's what makes the experience at Fitness One worthwhile. :)

I love this gym! And starting in 2017 they are adding over 100000 square feet of new facilities, including a swimming pool, indoor basketball court and playground for the kids daycare services! Reasonably priced, a few more well spent dollars towards this gym is worth it. They don't feed you cookies and pizza like that other "gym" if you want to call it that, and their equipment isn't that forsaken ugly purple color and their weights actually go up to past 50lbs. Exceptional staff and clean workout environment with updated equipment that is in tip top shape to get you in tip top shape. Women's only gym is a great feature, my wife readily enjoys it, and the sauna and hydro massage room is great as well as the rock climbing wall. Hands down the BEST GYM IN LAS CRUCES

Try to visit weekly, and health doesn't always allow it. Love this place. Staff is friendly and the place is pretty clean.

We love Fitness One. They have a good variety of workout machines, fun classes with friendly teachers, etc. We joined because I needed to practice swimming for a triathlon, and we’ve really been impressed overall.
