Silver Comet Trail - Concord Road Entrance/Exit Parking

I absolutely fell in love with this trail. It's a wonderful place to walk, jog, run, ride a bike, hike, explore, take pics and bond with a spouse, children and friends. Beautiful sites to see if you're in love with God's creations. Beautiful trees with big leaves every where you turn. Small lakes surrounded by rocks. Dirt trails, up and down hills, which are easy to navigate. Paved bike and walking/jogging trails. I felt safe but I would never visit any trail alone. Great place to take your pets out for a walk or small children with a stroller. You can never go wrong getting out of the house or enjoying your day off work/family time by walking and exploring Silver Comet Trail. It's a beautiful site to see on any given day.

You can park here for free, then walk in either direction of Silver Comet Trail which is an old railway converted into pedestrians and biker trail going for Miles on no end from Smyrna Georgia to Alabama. Silver Comet trail crosses through many communities mainly in wooded areas where trees provide shade but also occasionally close to backyard of houses or busy streets. Very pleasant walking trail.
The parking lot not far from covered Concord Street Bridge has a also bathrooms.

This place is amazing. You can be up on the paved trail or walk or run next to the creek. I also love taking my daughter and dogs to play in the creek! It’s quiet enough for a leisurely stroll but also has enough traffic that you don’t feel completely isolated. This is also the best place for scenic fotos.

Always a great way to get out into nature. Trails are always well maintained, although it must be tough to keep up with the falling leaves in autumn 😀

This nice park, big, clean, great places to walk. Even has Pokémon stuff there.

I walk this trail almost every Sunday. The trees make it a cooler walk even on the hottest days.

Well maintained, pleasant people and walking through a forest is pretty cool

Why have that cut down so many trees? The trees are one of the main draws to go there.

We went to the trail head but did not go on the trail. We just wanted to see where it was. So glad they had a restroom. We will bring our bikes next time we come.

I love this trail! I recall a client of mine would go here every weekend, now I know why. This trail is comfortable and a very easy walk with plenty of tall trees providing cover.

The water under the bridge is really cool and calm enough for kids. Clean bathrooms. A really chill place to visit or to just stop for a bit and stretch your legs while driving through the busy area. Good vibes for sure.

I love this particular trail location. Easy parking and good off trail exploring right off the trail here.

Nice place to park for the Silver Comet. There is a 1 lane bridge just after the turn in for the parking so it can back up a bit while people drove across the bridge. This is around the 2.8 mile mark so you get ahead of some of the traffic on rhe Comet. There are public bathrooms & shelter there.

This is a beautiful trail, with a very convenient entrance. Found a couple Geocaches along this route, got to see the historic mill ruins, and overall just a great hike. Everyone encountered were nice people! I highly recommend parking at this entrance, and enjoying the sights!!!

Nice trail. It's cooler in the summer because of all the foliage around the trail and relatively flat which makes it good for running. The entrance is right before the covered bridge and you can run in either direction once you enter the trail from the parking lot. There are also bathrooms in the parking lot.

The silver comet is a great place to get out and cruise for awhile on a bike, skates, or even a pair of sneakers. Even in the summer this path is pretty well shaded which makes an afternoon stroll no trouble at all. I can't wait to take my skates out hear again!
