Their website has helpful descriptions of their breads and ingredients. First time visitor and I got a large sourdough for myself and my family. We love it and will definitely be getting more. Staff is friendly and helpful. Half of the location offers dry, refrigerated, or frozen German goods.

This was our first time stopping in after years of passing by. What a great little place! Authentic German foods. So many delicious things to choose from. Different sauce/gravy mixes, noodles, treats… freezers full of soups, gravies, meats, cheeses… fresh baked breads, pretzels, pastries, etc… I could have bought out the whole place but came out with some yummy things. We got a Ham and Cheese pretzel for the road and it was delicious. We can’t wait to come back!

Today I got a
Florentine which is caramelized thin pieces of almond dipped in chocolate which was $2.35. Fruit Tart which was $4.95 which is a tart lined with chocolate filled with cream that kind of resembles banana pudding but and an assortment of fruit.
Last but not least
A Cheese with Jalapeno Pretzel $3.49 which about the size of where my thumb- down. It tastes just like a cheese and jalapenos pizza without the sauce made on top a German pretzel.
Everyone is super friendly the lines aren't very and if you listen you'll get some really good recommendations. Like the Florentine which was recommended to me.

Bernhard's German Bakery is the best bakery we have been to in the greater Atlanta area so far. The staff is friendly and personable. Everything we tried so far is fresh and tasty. The bread is made organic with no added preservatives. From the breads, I highly recommend the Spelt Harvest Bread and the White Sourdough. From the pastries, chocolate dome and the poppy seed pastry are a must-try.

Was recommended to me by Kat from Kat's Barber and it exceeded expectation. I went for the first time and back again the next day both the mufaletto and the steak and cheese sandwiches were delicious and I tried a few of their pastries and some German beverages. All were outstanding. Including the friendly service I received as well. I will definitely be going back soon.

This is a small bakery where products are still produced the old way. It has great tasting breads and a good variety of other German bakery products. It also sells German butcher products and other German products. You can also get a small German meal there. We visit the store every time we come through Atlanta.

I live nearby and have been coming here every few weeks for the past year and a half. Firstly, the service is friendly and helpful. It can get quite busy at times, but they do their best to keep the line moving, and even on crowded days I find it doesn't take too long. Secondly, the baked goods are amazing. The sourdough is the best I've been able to find in the US and the pastries are also quite good. They have a good variety of options as well. Third, they are very quick with scheduled orders. I would recommend calling ahead if you want more of the popular items are several of them. Lastly, the price. I am honestly surprised how cheap it is given what other bakeries in the US charge. It's not as cheap as you could find in Europe but I doubt you could find such good prices in the states.

A hidden gem! Such a great little place to get breads, pretzels, pastries, desserts, hot sandwiches, & German grocery items. There's also a section for pre-made and packaged soups and meals. I've never gotten anything here that wasn't delicious! I miss the little deli area to sit down and eat, but it gave them room to offer even more items for sale so that's a good trade off!

Bernhard delivers the BEST German baked goods experience in Atlanta. Very authentic with their menu items. The Bavarian soft pretzels are one of my personal favorites. You will be impressed if you're experiencing them for the first time.

I love going to this bakery, Bernard and his wife nunu are the best people with the best product, when I go in there it feels like home and they have the best bread that you can get anywhere, thanks Bernard and nunu for what you and your family do. Many blessings, Justin.

Super friendly stuff.
The bread is authentic and I love it.
In addition I get the Sauerbraten and Bratwurst.
Also fantastic and authentic.
Small but fine selection in the shop.
Overall a very good place if you want authentic German food.

I got an email coupon for 50% off a sandwich at Bernhard's. So, on the way to work, my dad stopped to get our lunch. I got a ham and cheese sandwich and he got the Philly Cheese. They were both superb! I will definitely go there for lunch again. I even got a German carbonated apple juice (which was just ok to me because I'm not a fan of carbonated drinks), restocked on my Knorr German soup mixes and German Ritter Sport chocolates. I highly recommend everyone to try them out! They have a variety of German dry goods, breads, baked goods, pastries, sandwiches, candies, coffee, teas, meats, vaccum sealed foods in a fridge and some drinks in their little fridge. Good luck getting out without spending $50.

I had an order of pretzels and there was some confusion about not adding salt (my fault). They were so gracious and understanding when I came to pick them up; they added the salt and explained it might not stick... But it stayed on just fine and the pretzels were absolutely delicious. A hit with me & my coworkers. I appreciate the stellar customer service and the amazing quality food!

Their bakery and frozen food items are good. They also sell condiments, jams, dried spaetzle and other items imported from Germany. It's a good place to get some German food.

So as far as bakeries go this is pretty darn good. They also offer frozen food like schnitzel and wurst and imported candies.
It says it's dine in but I didn't see a seating area, just a bakery/deli.
I had the German breakfast sandwich thing but they had many many more selections and what I had was amazing as simple as it was.
This will be my go to place to get bread and cold cuts that's for sure.

First and foremost it must be said we need you in Rock Hill SC!! So many delicious treats, so much so that I couldn't really decide what to get so I bought a little bit of everything. Lots of baked goods made right here went home with me including bread and sweets but the highlight of my discoveries was finding my favorite chocolate treat in the world: nougatringe! Delicious butter cookie with delicate nougat filling coated in chocolate, lecker! Please don't skip it nor the chocolate cherry cake. We also tried the frikadellen sandwich which was also fantastic. Can't wait to come by again when I visit GA from SC. 🥰
