Total You Med Spa

Tomo is fantastic!! She is very knowledgeable and I always leave here feeling my best and know I look just as good! I appreciate her hard work, service and great customer service! She is appreciated by her repeat customers! Tomo is highly recommended! She is busy as she is handling all by herself and yet she can accomplish all and still dona good job! Give her a raise...she deserves it for all she does!

This review is based on my experience with technician, Tomo. From the start, it was very clear how knowledgeable she is about various treatments. I started there by buying a living social voucher. Tomo’s caring and knowledgeable approach to various procedures led me to buy additional treatments through the spa. Many times, when I was there, it seemed that no other staff was present which meant that Tomo had to handle phones and reception by herself along with providing treatments. I hope that she was treated with respect by the owners and that she was financially acknowledged for having to run the spa, by herself, on several occasions.

Darnell walked me through everything and made sure I was completely comfortable the entire time. She then personally called me the next day to just check in; wow, that's rare to have that kind of personalized care, Amazing results already - Definitely recommend this spa; I've already set up my next appointment! :-)

Tommo is wonderful magician, she loves what she does, and she is gifted in making clients look and feel beautiful. I have been a client for five years and my friends claim I look younger every year. Tommo is very thorough and detail oriented. I work full time so only come on Saturdays, when Tommo runs the place: she is at the reception desk, making appointments, answering the phone, presenting new treatment options, and performing treatments. Everything is alway on time and all package options are available for consideration. I have referred many friends to Tommo, all happy and looking younger. This place is a true gem, many thanks to Tommo!

The esthetician Tomo was wonderful! She is very Knowledgeable, my skin looks great. Definitely will go back.

Excellent place

Good service

I have been a client of Total U Med Spa for more than a year, and frequently However, my last several visits have been sub-standard. Which has caused me to give them this mixed review. Their one (1) and only Technician, Tomo, is very knowledgeable and extremely focused. Coupled with her experience in using Total U Med Spa’s STATE OF THE ART equipment. I highly recommend her, for her work ethic, and being so conscientious.

My issue is with the spa administration (front desk). There was an incident, wherein, they behaved unprofessionally, having an altercation in front of clients. And, during some recent visits, their lack of warmth contributing to my not feeling welcome.

There appears to be an imbalance of personnel resources. More often, than not, there are two (2) employees manning the front desk. And, as I mentioned earlier this spa has only one (1) technician, making it challenging for clients to get desired appointments.

Thank goodness for Tomo! She is INCREDIBLE. Tomo is a rare gem, and Total You is lucky and blessed to have her! She has been sooo patient and kind, thorough and VERY skilled. She has gone above and beyond to inform, guide, treat, and take amazing care of me! She is a special person who LOVES her clients and what she does.

Now the office manager, however, leaves a lot to be desired, and she is the reason for the low rating. She is short with people, unfriendly, judgmental, and downright awful. There is a negative air about her, and she makes it uncomfortable to be at Total You. What a shame. She could stand to take a course or two in people skills, and how to manage a business. She has walked in on me and my treatment time twice, and I was not at all comfortable with that. She did not ask if she could come in, and did not knock. That is unacceptable, even if she needs Tomo or supplies. That is not OK.

And when at the front desk, she presents as cold, stuffy, stiff, quite the opposite of warm and inviting. I hope they can find a better manager to handle the business side of this Med spa so that it will not go downhill.

Tomo is the people person, and often wears many hats because she is flexible and patient with scheduling and really on the ball. Tomo also sells products and services with warmth. She wants her clients to be happy, and that is how to do it! Way to go, Tomo, and keep it up!

I bought a laser hair removal package from the branch that was local to me in 2017. I received 2 of 12 purchased sessions and then got pregnant. I was promised over and over that my package would be honored after I had the baby. After I delivered the baby, I called to schedule my next appointment and was told that they had closed that branch. No one had contacted me to let me know this was happening. I asked for a refund for the prorated amount and was told that I could drive 3.5 hours to receive treatments-BY THE ACCOUNTANT. That's right, they wouldn't let me speak to a manager, they would only communicate with me through their accountant, whose job IT IS NOT to deal with their customers. It is unreasonable to ask someone to drive 3.5 hours, after they closed their office in my town, WITHOUT NOTICE. After 2 weeks of back and forth with the accountant, they finally agreed to give me HALF of what I had paid back. I decided to take it as I was completely done dealing with this company, and tried to get a claim through with my bank, which obviously it had been too long to file a claim because HELLO I was pregnant for most of a year. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. They will take it and not give you the services you paid for.
