Nonno's Cajun Cuisine & Pastries

Breakfast was really good. I had shrimp and grits with eggs and toast. The whole wheat toast was disappointing, but the grits were tasty. Wife's chicken and french toast was superb. The chicken was fried just right. The french toast was heavy on cinnamon and had just the right sweetness; no syrup needed.

Was welcomed by everyone when walking in. Jatil took care of us and she was amazing and sweet. The Shrimp Po Boys we ordered were 5 stars. So good. We will be back to try out their breakfast!

Amazing spot, 10/10 service (we are tourists and the waitress and staff were absolute sweet hearts and gave us great recommendations for places to go and things to see). Very homey vibes and the food was fantastic! I had the chicken and French toast which was to die for. No syrup needed. The seasoning of the chicken and the sweetness of the French toast paired amazing. My girl friend had the shrimp and grits and it was to die for. Thank you for the amazing service and sweet hospitality! ❤

First time visiting Nonno's . The atmosphere was comforting and cozy. The seafood fries were amazing and a party of flavors in my mouth! Even my mother kept asking me for a few bites of this delicious dish! Also ordered the bread pudding. Taste like Christmas! Will indeed go back. Thank you!

Man this food was amazing!! I had the special of the day which consisted of white beans and rice with a beef sausage and a choice of protein I had the fried catfish. The fish was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Also Terri took care of us while we were there. She had excellent recommendations she recommended the Seafood Egg rolls. Which were great. Terri also recommend the Bread pudding with a rum sauce which was great. I highly recommend this spot if you are in New Orleans it’s a must stop.

The food was delicious and tasty. The bread pudding was awesome!! The atmosphere is a total vibe because if you feel like singing, the mic will be passed!! The owner was present and a joy to be around.We were celebratingy friend birthday and we had a great night!!

We discovered this gem on our last night on our recent visit and it was some of the best food we had on this trip. It will definitely be on the top of our list when we are in the area! Great service, super nice staff, neat atmosphere, and fantastic food! We ordered take out, but would have loved to sit outside to eat. Will definitely visit next time!

We stopped in for lunch. I had the shrimp and grits with a small bowl of red beans and rice to share. We also ordered the chicken & French toast, chicken plate and a shrimp po-boy with sweet potato fries. Everything we had was delicious and the staff was great! BEST BREAKFAST IN NEW ORLEANS. If you are looking for a classic southern breakfast, this is THE SPOT! The owner’s story is so inspiring and the food was truly fantastic. Great service, great atmosphere, and just an all-around absolute pleasure! Definitely get the French toast, you won’t regret it!

They danced and sang for my B-Day!!!! I danced too because their food is awesome. I got the poboy hamburger. I did not have to add any seasoning. The atmosphere was so uplifting. It was our first time visiting and re do not regret any food choice.
Kavid was excited and give great descriptions of menu food per each of our preferences. Kavid know his stuff about the food and drinks. Wonderful Place!

Feels like one of the local joint. The staff had a party while I was here. A second line march in to celebrate her birthday and everyone seems to be ready to dance. The food was good but slow because of the party. At least it felt like a real New Orleans experience.

From the time we stepped through the door and received a warm, friendly welcome from India, to the amazing service we received from KaVin, our experience here was top-notch! The vibe is laid back, the music is everything, and the food…. the food is exactly what you’d want when visiting New Orleans! We will definitely be back.

I've been to NOLA 4x and without a doubt, the best breakfast ever! Where else can you have breakfast then someone starts singing and the whole restaurant is having a good time😲🥰I'm so glad we walked in!

We were looking around for something quick to eat and stumbled upon this gem. The food was hot, fresh and so flavorful. We had the seafood egg rolls which are some of the best I’ve ever had. For my lunch I had the French toast and chicken. The French toast on the French bread *chefs kiss* was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. There was so much flavor and the wings were seasoned to perfection. We were really impressed!

Such an awesome experience! We were driving through New Orleans via I-10 and decided to stop for some Po ‘boy sandwiches as I hadn’t had one before. Food was great but really it was the owner and staff that made it such a great experience. They all checked on us, had such pleasant attitudes and seemed genuinely interested in what was going on with us. Would 100% come back to see them next time I’m in town.
Parking is street parking but we had no problem with it even with a 16ft moving truck. Music is R&B/Jazz vibes and I was just bobbing along to the music while drinking my slushy. So good!

Very cozy, relaxed diner with amazing food that is unique to the area and culture. I recommend the breakfast seafood burrito with eggs and the seafood fries.

I love this place! Tried the charbroiled oysters and they are one of a kind! They serve breakfast all day too so our table had all of the best things between the four of us. If you’re in New Orleans, you need to check this place out. Just barely off the beaten path in so many ways. Unique and delicious.

This place is amazing. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The catfish was flaky with a hint of spiciness. The vibe is excellent with great service. We will definitely be back. This is a Black owned business.

Love Nonnos for a couple of reasons. To start, the seafood eggrolls! I love when we are surprised by an innovated spin on local cuisine and these eggrolls did not disappoint! All the food was good as you would expect from this home-cooked corner eatery. It is a little walk from all the action of Bourbon Street buy it is beautifully scenic and well worth it.
