Brechtel Park

Loved this park, gras needed to be cut… but it’s been raining for three weeks down here so! It’s completely acceptable ! Awesome place for my younger and older children to play!

Only kept up park with trails that I know of on the west bank. Great place to relax or even hold events at. I love taking pictures of all the wildlife!

It is so beautiful and peaceful. The wildlife is even friendly.

This is a BEAUTIFUL park! Upon entering I saw trees that were still being planted although the park has HUGE oak trees, plenty of shade and an adorable pond that my dogs and I ran around in 20 minutes. We crossed a white bridge which you can see within 2 minutes of entering the park. The bridge is approximately 100 feet long and extends to a private area that’s perfect for a wedding. It was clean, well manicured, had hiking paths and plenty of benches and tables. Reservations can be made for private events. Yesterday a movie was being filmed there and the production crew was building a stage fit for a concert with plenty of lights.

Hidden gem of Algiers. Frogs, ducks, geese, birds, butterflies and a water snake. And lots of Easter yellow, right now.

Love this quite little gem. There’s a play ground and field in back for sports. Bathrooms are usually open however Fridays seems to be a hit or a miss. Park hours are 8am to 6 pm. They do close earlier for bad weather. There is a sign not to feed alligators but I haven’t been lucky enough to see one yet. The grass is kept up very well and plenty of benches and pavilions for a picnic or gathering. I’ve been told sometimes there’s a fee to enter ($2) I’ve never been charged a fee.

nice. i drive for a company on the west bank some and this place is a nice quiet spot to chill between pickups.

Soooo beautiful!!! Calm and serene! Many picnic tables scattered over the beginning of the walking trails. Great place to chill and eat lunch!!

It almost looks like a State Park. Beautiful and isolated. Great if you want to stay in touch with nature. Not too good if you are looking for urban attractions.

Plenty of room, shade trees or sheltered tables, nice circular pond with accessible island. Playground for kids also.

Wonderful place for picnic, camping and soon they gonna have canoe and some fun water activities and stuff .definitely will bring our daughter there soon .

Quiet park usually. Nice areas with lots of trees to walk through. Small lake. Mulberry trees and blackberry bushes are good for foraging.

The park is very peaceful and natural. A wonderful place to spent time with family and kids.
