J. Smith Young YMCA

My kids and I have been going to the YMCA in Lexington North Carolina since we moved here in 2019 and it has been nothing less than amazing! From the programs they offer, to the amazing people that work there, we really feel like family. My kids love their teachers and the directors of the childcare programs that they use for after school and summer. If you’re looking for somewhere to take your child, the times are amazing all of the activities they do in the YMCA and outside of it are really good as well. Even though everyone is great, I would like to give a shout out to Ms. Tena and Kelly! They have been lifesavers in more ways than one when it comes to my children, and I am forever Grateful!

The staff at this location are friendly, helpful and sweet. I enjoy exercising and I enjoy that some of the staff gives me tips on exercising and healthy eating habits. With the help of the Lord and their help, I've lost over 50lbs! Their CEO is one of the most wonderful persons I've ever met! She is helpful and I can tell she loves her community and the Y members. Thank you!

We rented the bowling center for my daughters 6th birthday and I can not recommend it enough. Its very spacious and accommodating with a pool table, fooseball, and air hockey. The gentleman working there very obviously loves his job and he was so nice and helpful every step of the way. You can not beat the price to rent an entire bowling ally with 10 lanes. There were close to 40 people there but it never felt cramped or crowded and there was pleny of room for all of us to eat a bowl with no issues. We will more than likely be throwing several parties there in the future.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Gym recently received an upgrade in equipment with more than enough weight and machines. The pool does get busy but they do reserve lanes for lap swim.

Gym of choice. Layout is great. Enjoy hot tub. Trainers are knowledgeable.

Nice, friendly, and smiling. Very helpful. Our, kids first day. They had a great time. And really wants to go back again. They will miss 4th n the 5th due to closing n Dr app. Then they won't get to come anymore. Unless someone cancelled.

Enjoy watching the basketball games for the youth. Great coaches but wish they were longer seasons or more games, at least least tournaments. I was upset to find out they weren't playing tournament, they played a total of 7 games in a matter of one month. And the team mates are just now getting to feel each other's flow, they need more time together and more games. Give the kids a reason to stay off the street and something to look forward to instead of teasing them with a good time just to play a couple few games and be done for the remainder of the year until next year... too little time and the games get good.

Best staff hands down. They put the best interest for their customers and their families first. Our family lives going here. It is so clean and there is always someone to help you with anything

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and they are more than willing to assist you with whatever you need. The pool area is somewhat cramped, but thanks to the renovations that took place a couple years ago, there is a new seating area which is used during swim meets and other events.

Exercise equipment is fairly up to date and nice, and all sorts of exercise classes are offered.

The locker rooms, in my personal experience, are kept quite clean.

Great place for a few hrs. For a birthday party, 2nd year in a row for my now 10yr. Old but bowling alley is awesome for all ages!

Not a member of the YMCA but we use the bowling lanes quite often and have always had a good experiences. It’s pretty cool to have an older style bowling lane tucked away in down town. Highly recommended for birthday parties or a get together.

Wonderful facility for all fitness levels.

I love the YMCA of Lexington because they have a wide variety of things to do. They cater to the Young as well as the more Seasoned! I have had my niece in the YMCA summer camp and she absolutely loves that as well..she is excited to go everyday just to see what kind of adventure they will have daily and last but not least I just want to give a Big High Five to the staff!! They are awesome! Love you guys for loving the kids!! Thank You!

I recently had the opportunity to visit this YMCA and was very impressed with the professionalism, care, and friendliness of the staff. The facility is unique in that it includes a bowling alley among the other fitness amenities that one might expect at their local Y. What a gem.

Outstanding customer service, great environment along to do for the whole family, Basketball, Racquetball, Foosball, Pool, Swimming Pool, Bowling, Hot Tub (18 & up), Steam Room, Child Care, and much much more, just a fantastic place for singles, couples, kids, teens, families, and etc. YMCA is awesome.

Alot of new equipment and a variety of classes. Friendly staff & clean facility
