Such an awesome mom and pop store. When you walk through the door it's like going back into time in the heart of lexington. The pimento cheese is the best on earth.

Recommended by Bob Timberlake as having the best pimento cheese so of course I had to stop in today and pick some up! Not only did I find some other goodies while in store, Bob was right!

This place is a throwback. Cool little store with OUTSTANDING customer service. Everyone knows [or should know] about the world famous pimento cheese. What you may not know is how great this store is. Produce is always fresh and the guys at the butcher counter are always friendly and very helpful. Take a trip back in time and stop in. This place is special. It reminds me of grocery stores of the past. They have a meat counter and butcher to help you get just that desired cut of meat you are seeking. Also their produce is great too.

Great little grocery store. Over 100 years old and the service is unbelievable. They will cut all your meat to your request

I go there because they have hoop cheese, real hoop is hard to find, and they have a lot of pork items that I love, not to mention the pimento cheese, that's really good its home made, I recommend them, also they have a variety of other things 👍

I love local produce markets like this one! Bought some delicious sharp cheddar cheese and vanilla moonpies here!

Just visited this store with my family and it was lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff and amazing food. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone who wants to visit a local store.

This is such an awesome store. Good prices, super clean and comfy environment! My mom loves going here to get the fresh pimento cheese for her mother, and I love it here because of the friendly feel of the store, the fresh produce of veggies, nuts, and fruits, and the abundance of snacks and cool country style pantry items.. The butcher shop is also cool although I haven’t personally bought from it, they have a lot of meats and their cuts to choose from. Like pork, chicken, beef, salmon, mahi-mahi, flounder, shrimp, etc! I really wish they had lamb. I hope they will bring lamb to C&H soon. Altogether this is a very cool store and I recommend it if you value excellent customer service and country style foods and snacks as well as farm fresh products. :)

Great destination for a road trip! Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable about their unique products. Mary, the owner’s daughter, suggested some dynamite salsa.

Love this store. Good quality of meats and excellent variety of fresh vegetables. Chicken salad and egg salad is so delicious. Very friendly staff.

Love the Conrad & Hinkle Pimento Cheeses, both the regular and Hot! The ladies in front are very helpful and kind. So are the gentleman in the Fresh Butcher shop! I think nothing about doing from Winston-Salem! Do it on a regular basis now! Thank you 😊 for another great experience today!

A trip back in time! I really should have brought a cooler. They give you free ice. Next trip to Lexington, I'm going do just that!

Always love stopping in when in Lexington. Their hot pimento cheese is my favorite. I wish it was sold closer to Southern Pines. Picked up a CH coffee mug, some jams and country ham too. Love seeing the old fashioned candy. Reminds me of my Grandparents. Always so nice and good experience.

I love this store! I even have a picture of the store in my kitchen. I love going back to how it used to be with local fruits and vegetables and awesome customer service. I met Lee the owner and he was so nice! This store is such a treasure and I hope they are here at least another 100 years! Thanks!

Cool hometown type of place and super nice folks. Fresh produce, cut to order steaks and good meat selection, homemade canned goods both usual and unique, pimento cheese and lots of other spreads. Will definitely stop by again anytime we drive through the area.

I immediately fell in love with the old town feel of the place! But what really blew my mind was the amount of products available that I haven't seen since I was a small child! Also, their home grown vegetables, fruits and meats are (and I have to say it) beautiful! Their colors, size, and aromas make you want to pick some up for later enjoyment! Prices are not far from those of bigger stores, but their selection is way more varied with quality products no longer available anywhere else! I loved my first trip to their store and plan to continue doing my business with Conrad & Hinkle Food Market! Happy Centennial birthday, and may you be around for a hundred more years!
