This was my family and I’s first time at this lake. We saw people fishing and even a man in a kayak on the lake. The scenery was beautiful. I really wouldn’t recommend this place as a playground because it only has two swings and one slide, but I would recommend this as a family outing. My daughter had a blast. She even made a new friend and caught a frog! This place was beautiful will be definitely going again.

This is one of Lexington's most beautiful gems! Not only a great spot for any one to fish, lounge by the soothing sounds of the dam, and to bring children to swing and slide; this stunning body of water is a pleasure and a half to paddle! On any sort of self-propelled water traverser, this blue diamond is guaranteed to satisfy!

My doggos love taking a dip in the creek and I love the nature! Double win! 😁 Doggie walk turned into saving an owl!

Old City Lake is a great area to fish and relax in the quiet trees. Great for picnics, leisure fishing, or just need a great place to breathe some fresh air.

This place was amazing for my brothers graduation party. We were lucky enough to get a place without reserving🙏🏻(it was a very unplanned party). You can just tell overall that the area is well cared for and cleaned fairly often.

I've always loved to fish here and there are lots of catfish now due to lack of rain. I caught 2 the other day and one sun perch. Everyone should visit City Lake at least once because I guarantee you'll love it! !

I have been out twice in the last two weeks with a kayak fishing for bass. I have had a few strikes and have caught a large mouth that was around 3lbs.(released) Very peaceful place to paddle and fish. Litter bugs should be ashamed. I like it because it is free and no gas motors allowed. So no wakes to deal with. Cheap entertainment! I went back today and caught two more large mouth bass. One 3lbs and one over 5lbs. released both

Quiet. The water. There's a lot of turtles that call this place home so be ready for your bait to get took from time to time. There's boating. If you go here a d plan on catching anything my advice is something bloody like chicken livers. Chum your area, cast and enjoy. Perfect place to bring a date if you have a nice country girl or fellow. Very relaxing place.

It was beautiful. They do need to spray for poison oak. Everywhere you walked, it was full of the poison oak.

I love this place. Fished here first 40 years ago. It needs to be cleaned up. But that's anglers fault for leaving beer bottles, trash and fishing line everywhere. I take a small bag of other peoples trash out every time I go. It's not my trash and I know it's not much but it makes me feel a little better.

Best public park in this area in my opinion. Go walk down to the dam and there is an awesome bridge and plenty of woods to trail down and fishing is nice. As well as picnic shelters. Awesomeness.
