Ferguson Family YMCA

I love the variety of classes offered, the times work for my schedule and the instructors are really good. The staff is helpful and I love the fact that it's a smaller Y which makes me more comfortable since I'm not someone who usually loves a typical "gym" environment.

Great facility. The gym is clean, well equipped, friendly staff and non-intimidating atmosphere. My kid loves the childcare and ballet lessons. Would highly recommend the Ferguson Y to other families.

This is my favorite Asheville area YMCA. The space is small but has everything that I need. It is rarely crowded and I can always find the machine that I want even on weekends. Staff are friendly and the space is clean. The bathroom is clean with spacious handicap accessible showers that are usually available. Natalie’s Zumba on Friday mornings is a treat with a wonderful sense of community and fun. The only drawbacks are that sometimes the more popular classes are crowded. Please note that this location does not have a pool, sauna, racketball or pickleball. If you want those you’ll have to go to a larger location. Parking is also easy and close. Location is very convenient for Candler residents. Highly recommend.

Great place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to answer questions and help with machines or exercises. I highly recommend this facility.

Although, just for curiosity sake I did check out the competition, Planet Fitness down the street. I came running back to Ferguson immediately.

What Ferguson Family Y lacks in size, it makes up for with customer experience and relevance of programs for its demographic. All of the staff seem well schooled in member interaction. This Y could double in size and still run at full capacity.

It is a clean, bright, friendly, well-outfitted location, and includes daycare for my child. My kid really likes the day care, so I and my wife go there to exercise as often as we can.

I am not a gym lover AT all. However, the staff and other gym goers are always super nice. This gym is always super clean, organized, has an adequate number of machines and space, but my favorite are the classes and frequencies offered.

I love the YMCA! The employees and the members all contribute to my sense of belonging to a community every time I walk through the door.

Everyone I met at the gym was very helpful in signing me up and explaining how it all works. I've only tried one class, but have been very impressed with the quality of the teacher. People seem to be having fun there.

Staff is friendly & helpful, equipment appears to be new and is kept very clean. The location meets my needs at the moment.

I love this YMCA branch! The equipment is great and available, super friendly staff, a lot of classes available, the space is open and organized and clean. The gym regulars are friendly and there is a sense of community. Convenient location. It’s a great Y!

Friendly, helpful staff, regularly scheduled classes, and always enough machines and equipment for everyone present. I just started going the week before last, because I got a voucher from Wellcare (my health ins) to go for free. With this membership, I can go to any of the 7 Asheville locations, as well as some national options when on vacation, too. The people who use this location are considerate, and tend to wipe down the machines after using them, at the very least, with the exception of a few teenagers who didn't seem to know that was a normal gym practice, even before Covid. But just in case, as the signs say, I clean them both before and after using them.
I love that the machines have QR codes so that I can more easily track my progress in the app.
The location never gets SO busy that you have to wait for any of the equipment for very long. Even the other members have been sweet and helpful when I've asked newbie questions. I'll definitely be back soon!

There are a wide range of classes/activities to suit all fitness levels. The staff and instructors are eminently qualified, friendly and fun. There is sufficient equipment for whatever workout I want to try, There is a sense of community and comradery amongst the membership creating a very welcoming environment.

I love Westridge CrossFit - I needed 6 am classes with variety and I got 'em! The instructors are fantastic and able to make accomodations as needed. I have seen improvements in strength, energy and focus in my days. These classes are always very consistently staffed as well, which is great.

The facility is well equipped with machines, free weights, and all essential workout equipment. They hold spin classes, tai chi, etc., if and classes if that's your preference. The place is clean, and well maintained, and the staff is friendly, competent, and helpful. Nice place.

Love the gym very clean and I love that they have a daycare where I can see my kids and where they interact with my kids don’t just sit there the whole time
