Bent Creek River Park

This is really just a dirt boat ramp to launch small watercraft.
This place doesn't have the trails I was expecting, but it's a great little area along the river with 1 picnic table in the parking lot.

Loved meditating by this Creek. Such beautiful leaves in the fall. The temperature is great in October. Perfect fall getaway.

So great! A beautiful, relaxing, peaceful day along the broad french river. Best forth of July in years! Highly recommend
Zen tubing launch

Great to just enjoy a breeze by the river,and walk your dogs. Even a little catch and release fishing 🎣

Chill and quiet. Some bougie trout in that pond. Park outside the camp gate at the trailhead 10ft away for free and walk in. They don't care.

Good view of the river and access to the Arboretum trails and BRP trails.

Great place to put in to do some kayaking.

Hiked into Lake Lake Powhattan. It was beautiful.

Great place for mountain biking and hiking. Bikers can get annoyed with hikers here and vice versa but we can all coexist. Not many people on the trail when I went but it was on Friday during the workday.

I didn't have my boat, but it seemed like the perfect launch for the French Broad river

Awesome!! You get a vast look at the wide river and the Blue Ridge Parkway crossing through the skyline!

Just a small nice place to pull over and walk the river bank. They have some benches along the water edge as well as some picnic tables and some grills.

Was a nice place to cast a line. Caught several small Bluegills and a fat 12" Smallmouth.

Pros- Good view, ample parking
Cons - couldn't find a restroom

Nice public spot to put in your float on the FBR.

We go fishing here sometimes, its very beautiful here. Even when its cold out! I dont even mind the bears that go through there. Walking trails and nature. Is all you need!

Very nice looking out over the water

Simple, looks like it would have a nice nature walk. Good place to stop in to eat and/or get out and stretch your legs. Clean and nice view; access for the river.

Love this park, I go here anytime I need to get away for a minute or two. I love walking in the woods through the trails here. Even when it rains and floods the entire place, it's a magical woods.
