Zen Sushi

I love Zen Sushi, the food was tasty, and the service was excellent. Annie is very good server. The best restaurant in Asheville.

This is my favorite sushi spot in Asheville. The food is great and the service is impeccable. The lunch specials are a great deal and there are plenty of vegetarian options!

I absolutely love this establishment. Every server that’s ever waited on me was so kind and attentive. There’s one server in particular that is always so kind and lovely. I cannot remember his name but he makes the experience wonderful every single time. Delicious food at a reasonable price!

When the food is great and the atmosphere is pleasant, it makes for a wonderful night with friends. But when the service is terrific, it makes for a perfect evening. The two waiters worked so well together, and we all left feeling the experience of what a great night out should feel like. 5+ for Zen Sushi.

Zen is my favorite spot to get sushi in Asheville. I love the location and the easy parking. Staff are friendly and quick. I can be in and out during lunch within 30 minutes.
The sushi is incredible. I've had everything from the basic rolls and several of the speciality rolls. Have loved everything.
Have went through many of the appetizers and a few of the menu items. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in on a whim after shopping next door - so glad we did. Got the Blue Ridge roll & Angry Dragon roll. It was perfect. We dined a little before the true dinner rush hits - seated immediately, food only took about 10 or 15 mins to come out, was so fresh & delicious. The Angry Dragon roll had some crunch, and a little spice that slowly feel after you have your bite. It wasn’t overwhelming, had me ready to grab another bite. The flavor combos were in perfect harmony. The Blue Ridge had a lighter taste & when paired with the Angry Dragon, they complimented each other well. The Blue Ridge had cream cheese on it which was a wonderful texture compliment to the crunch, and made the roll seem to melt in my mouth. Again, I can’t rave enough about how the textures, and taste combos combined so perfectly in our meal. I generally like sushi, but this was an experience. I’m pretty sure I’ll be comparing any other sushi I have to what I got to experience at Zen. The portion size was great, & very satisfying. I felt full, but not stuffed. The perfect meal.

On a more personal note I enjoyed the laidback atmosphere, and the hospitality of the staff. They were very kind, and as someone who has social anxiety after covid yrs I appreciate that the staff took care of us, but also gave us plenty of space so we could enjoy our meal. 10/10 will recommend to others, and plan to be back.

We were visiting Burnsville NC and had to run to Asheville for fresh trout from a shop below Zen and we were hungry for lunch and we decided to try out the Zen Sushi, they were very nice as they were closing tables down for the day. They did seat us and what a delight!!! It was awesome!! The food was very fresh and so tasty!! Good prices too! Will definitely return when we visit Asheville again!! Keep up the great work!!!

Took my mother for lunch. Very nice! Good atmosphere, friendly staff and the sushi was very good. I will certainly go back again.

We were traveling in the area and found Zen Sushi by accident. The dining area was very neat and well maintained, the bathrooms were clean and the atmosphere was generally appealing.

Our children, who had both just woken up from a nap and were cranky, were given small balloons by the staff. This cheered then up and made our overall dining experience much more enjoyable. This was an excellent display of the lost art of customer service, and it was greatly appreciated.

We got exactly what we ordered, including plain noodles for our youngest, and the food was delicious. The portions were generous, the food had obviously been prepared with car, and the presentation was excellent.

When we travel again, we will definitely make another stop here.

Excellent flavor, very filling sushi. I got a Philadelphia roll this time around but I've also had the Blue Ridge and the double dragon roll which are both amazing. The cooks that you can sit in front of are talkative and fun. Quick service.

Zen is always lovely. Their roll selection is amazing, the environment is peaceful and the staff are friendly and attentive (but not overly attentive). Price is pretty reasonable for a place of this quality. My girlfriend and I love this place for a date night.

My favorite sushi place to go. I love their smaller crunchy shrimp roll or larger blue ridge roll. Always fresh and delicious

I do love my Zen Sushi. Good portions, the right consistency and delicious flavors :) Definitely recommend. My only critique is that the service is hit or miss at times. Some of the staff are A professional delight and others have some things to work on. But, overall, this is my favorite Sushi joint.

Great atmosphere, amazing food! The soup was very good and the vegetarian sushi was amazing! 10/10 can't wait to go back when I'm in Asheville again!

We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was my first time eating at Zen Sushi. They accept reservations which is nice since we had a party of 8. The sushi boat for two was fun and delicious! The service was excellent. They checked on us enough, but did not hover. The food came within a reasonable amount of time and we got to watch them assemble the Sushi boat. If you like sushi, I would definitely recommend trying it out!
