French Broad Chocolate Factory & Cafe

Devin did an amazing job as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and had an answer for every question that was asked.
The tour was what I expected it would be and we had so much fun. It was very fun tasting the chocolates and learning about cocoa beans and seeing the process from start to finish.

I took the tour with friends and loved it. The tour director was informative and funny. It was almost like being in Willy Wonka's factory as we learned about every step of the process from bean to bar. I plan to come back with my kids and grandkids when they visit.

I toured the factory for my birthday months ago. Tasha was our tour guide and she was awesome! She was super knowledgeable and friendly. She made the info session/tasting and actual tour of the factory a fun experience. The chocolate is delicious. I left the factory with quite a bit of bars and truffles.

What a delicious smell when you enter. The deep rich wishfully warm aroma of chocolate and coffee. This is a wonderful stop to grab a quick treat and a little caffeine. I have a whole new appreciation for chocolatiers. Talk about a dream job. A must visit location.

Such an interesting tour which included the history of French Broad Chocolate, how chocolate is made from planting and sourcing beans, and a tour of the factory on site. Our guide, Gabrielle, was excellent. We received a coupon at the end of the tour and definitely bought chocolate to share. The chocolate is decadent.

The French Broad Chocolate Factory is so worth experiencing. I had no idea the way the bean to bar comes about. It’s a true educational experience. So worth going, book your time and take in the love of chocolate.

The factory is state of the art and the aroma of chocolate is absolutely wonderful- like riding a unicorn in a sunny meadow while drinking children's laughter from a golden goblet! The classroom experience was very informative, with taste-testing and a full explanation of the chocolatier-science! I highly recommend this tour!

Really enjoyed learning about the different chocolates and how the flavor was different depending on where each came from. Very informative on the processing. The entire tour was very enjoyable and definitely worth it! Plus the chocolates are yummy!

Our guide Matthew was awesome!! He was very personable, knowledgeable, and funny. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the tour. Our favorite part was the information session before the actual tour including the chocolate tasting.

We brought a group of students and had a GREAT time! The tour coordinator, Devin, did a wonderful job helping us prepare for the trip. She also taught us about the wonderful world of chocolate making! The tasting was informative and enjoyable. Well worth the price. We highly recommend! WARNING! You will leave smelling of chocolate! :)

We took the tour and enjoyed it. It was very insightful, but unfortunately, because not everything runs at the same time, we didn't get to see everything in operation. Our host was great and the tasting taught things I never knew about chocolate. The chocolate is delicious!

This is the second time we've done the tour, and it was better than the first! The tour guide was fun, and one of the workers came out to give us samples and talk to us about the process. French Broad Chocolate is absolutely making the world a better place!

The tour was both very fun and informative and I love the story of the founders. The chocolate here has basically ruined all other chocolate for me. It's so good and you can actually taste the difference in flavors of cacao from different regions. I highly recommend this tour and then you must go to their cafe in downtown Asheville where you will order the chocolate creme brulee and it will be the best thing you've ever eaten ☺

My boyfriend and I did the French Broad Chocolate Factory tour and had an amazing experience! Our tour guide was funny and extremely knowledgeable. The tour started with an overview of cacao beans and a chocolate tasting, then we walked through the facility to see the chocolate manufacturing process. We highly recommend!

Neat to see the chocolate being made, but most importantly, was incredible to learn about the founders commitment to sustainability (as well as the story of their journey!!
