Fairview Tavern

One of the best bars on the east side of town, with really tasty bar food, great drink prices, 6 dart boards, 3 pool tables, outdoor patio and front porch. The staff are all really great and the management. Kind of off the main road but once you find it, you'll be glad you did! Free pool on Sundays and Wednesdays! The kitchen sink philly cheesesteak is really good and the bacon wrapped hot 🌭! Also the fried okra with house-made ranch dressing.

The Fairveiw Tavern is one of those neighborhood bars that seem to be dissolving in the diluted New Asheville experience. If you would like a “scooby snack” or a “blue crack” or some other dumb college freshman drink, maybe go find some other dumb bar in Asheville to drink at… you shouldn’t have a hard time. Good service, easy vibe, 3 pool tables, about a million dart boards. The food is really good for bar food. “The Tavern” has a tight, small menu with some usual suspects with their own Tavern twist. Nice porch. Nice big back yard with disc golf putting opportunities.

Delicious philly and burger, friendly and welcoming to out of town visitors, and great prices. We found it because we were eating late and options were limited and were so glad we did! Great deck with outdoor seating out back.

I've been going here with my friends to celebrate and get together for years now. Pool, darts, indoor and outdoor atmosphere, great drinks and food. Very laid-back environment.

Fairview Tavern sponsored out team in the Asheville Inline Hockey League.we won Championship had a team celebration. Good place to have fun .good food.would recommend.

It's not pretentious and fancy, so if you want brie and wine, eat a d. With that said, this is an idyllic neighborhood pub. Alex the bartender is exceptional and happy to offer recommendations. They won a competition for their Philly cheesteak which is crazy for bar food. They've got pool and darts. Projector and stage in the middle of the building. Porches and dog friendly. The timber framing shows an obvious history and labor of love building it. If you can't have fun here, you are a douche.

Best dive bar around!! Steak sandwiches are amazing as are their wings. Full bar which is great😊. Bartender is fantastic, friendly, efficient and does it all!! Wish I remembered her name, but make sure to tip well, she really earns it.

A great place to hang out with friends and be normal and happy. I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke and the smell in there doesn’t bother my allergies at all. The food is really good and they have my fave top shelf tequila! Love this spot - a real gem hidden away in Oakley.

Best food quality in Asheville. Great staff, and a very chill atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend. Just make sure you always have your ID and make sure you sign in their computer system upon showing up.

They do everything right in my opinion. Beer out of a frozen mug. Everything on the food menu is good. Get mixed drinks if that’s what you are in to. Free darts. Awesome staff. No pretentiousness. 10/10.
My favorite is the hot damn burger or any of their hotdogs. They also serve steak fries which are hard to find.

Best place I've ever been for a local close to home, relaxed drink environment.. The bar tenders are some of the nicest people you will ever meet..and entering the establishment gets rid of those OMG days!!..Love you guys Aaron Lee
