Absolutely beautiful place! Good self guided tour, after you can explore properly on your own. There is some food places, hotels on a property also - a little bit further away from the Mansion. If you book a tour I believe you get complementary Wine Tasting.
Great hotel with interesting history. I’m visiting all Vanderbilt mansions, maybe it’s a silly “hobby”, but I enjoy it. If you in the area totally worth a visit.
I was driving from TN to NY and I made a little loop to see that place. A day was more than enough for me - I completed my tour, explored a little, dodged wine tasting and had a dinner.
You can easily spend few days over there, but you can see everything in one day as well.

It was a class act. A quality show. Very well put together. The employees were second to none. The opulence just isn't for me, though. I'd rather go for a hike through amazing nature or ride a horse around the grounds. The gardens weren't in bloom yet, obviously in mid-March. But the greenhouse was amazing. The gun room was barren because of "renovation." And that was a disappointment. Five stars, though, because it is absolutely amazing. A snapshot of a different time.

I would recommend visiting this place. The architecture and style is something rarely seen in America. It was like walking through a royal estate in Europe. A little pricey but well worth the money. There are many stairs but you can move at your own pace. The audio guide is easy to use and is pretty informative. Being winter the grounds were not very green, but the garden conservatory made up for it. The plants in there were gorgeous.

Biltmore House is a nice 21/2 hour tour of the house. I took many pictures of art and furniture from the gilded age.
They provide an audible device which describes each room. We also spent time strolling the grounds, the gardens and the pond. Off to the right of the house are the restrooms and souvenir shops. They have a coffee and sandwich shop to purchase lunch.

Beautiful place...the house was larger and more elegant than anything I have ever seen, including castles in England.
The gardens were phenomenal, and the walks through the natural landscapes were amazing.
Everything was very well organized, even with the number of visitors they had. I'm glad we allowed for two days as there was so much to see

What an experience! I loved touring this beautiful property. The home is literally astounding, the employees were just lovely and the wine tasting was really good. Well thought out, the gift shops are classy. Even the drive in was memorable, everything was so well done.

This is a really cool place to visit. It's like going back in time. I also loved how everything was decorated for Christmas. I love history and hearing all the stories. I wish I would have gone around the middle of October because the fall colors would have been amazing on the drive through the mountains and also at the estate. I wish I would have known about the restaurants on the estate. I guess that gives me a good reason to return.

Beautiful house. We bought tickets for an early tour. I loved that they have an audio tour just for kids. It wasn't too crowded and the audio tour is nicely paced. The staff are very helpful and so pleasant. We would definitely come back to see some of the behind the scenes tours and to see the gardens in bloom, but we loved seeing the holiday decorations!

This has always been a tradition in my family to go a few times a year, which faded with time and age but my 7 year old son was here for the first time ever and he seemed to really enjoy it. The mountain view from the back is spectacular and the shops are cozy and comfortable. Nothing is cheap, except to spend over 200 for 2. Child and adult. We watched the luminaries and the Christmas season is always amazing here

Amazing opportunity to experience an iconic American mansion/estate. Hospitality is top notch, food is amazing, the house is stunning, and the activities and shopping areas are expansive. Beautiful any time of year, but Christmas is particularly great. Great for kids, couples, families, singles, everyone. Lots of trails for walking and biking. Horse carriage and trail rides are available as well. The playground and petting zoo are great for kids. Going without seeing the home is still great, but be sure to see the home at least once.

Biltmore Mansion is a great example of wealth and power. On my third visit I was able to see the changes that happened because of the times we live in.
It was beautiful.
Girls trip that included 3 ladies that had not been before. I was very pleasantly surprised by the updates to the Christmas decorations.
My sister n love, loves Christmas and I don't think she would have enjoyed the visit had she been present with me years ago on my second visit during the Christmas season.

My favorite room is the tapestry room. Also that gingerbread house was absolutely beautiful.
We also got to tour the winery and because the weather was drizzly and very cool we didn't tour the grounds. So we took in the Italian Renaissance. Again an added bonus for the weekend.
I say farewell to this wonderful monument of greatness. Perhaps my last time visiting. Recommend it highly.

An unforgettable experience to tour this huge estate during the Christmas season! We took the time to have dinner at the stables. Please arrive by foot from the parking lot if you can to have the ultimate arrival to the Estate! Walk to main entrance with Anticipation like the visitors in the 1800’s experienced. We are taking the behind the scenes tour the next day that we are so excited to experience! More to come!

We have visited the Biltmore Estate many times over the years. We find it is beautiful and fascinating, whatever time we visit. The scale of the house is grand and the furnishings are beautiful. While the home is great there is also the grounds which are unbelievable and a very nice winery on the property. Whenever we are in the area we always try to stop in and have never been disappointed.

Pricey, yep!

Wonderful opportunity to see how the 1% of the 1% lived in the 1890s into the 1950s

The house had so many cutting edge ideas at that time. AC and DC electric power with indoor heating. Indoor swimming pool. The winter garden room is amazing. First floor rooms were beautiful. The family suite of rooms equally lovely.

You could easily pack a day full of activities here. The house and garden tours are a worthwhile experience getting to learn the history of the house and see the pomp, and also the tropical flowers and orchids at the conservatory. The tickets come with complimentary wine tastings. We went after November so got to see the Christmas decor.

Beautiful place to visit at Christmas! Plenty to do throughout the day. The complimentary wine tasting was an added touch. Bought a case of wine and champagne to take home with us, because it was so good! A must see during the holidays!

This place is so cool and the tour is very well done. You are given a hand held device that lets you listen to audio as you move throughout the building. The view of the Blue Ridge Mts out the back is amazing especially at sunset. Our ticket was good for 2 days, so the second day we checked out the conservatory - definitely worth it. All around amazing and worth a visit for anybody. And don't forget the winery in Antler Village. The free tasting was done very well and was a relaxing way to check out their products.

The most magical place on earth! I absolutely love the history on Edith and George Washington Vanderbilt. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays here . We love being passholders! I cannot tell you how many exquisite meals we have had here! I just love every single thing about the estate! The family has done a phenomenal job, keeping this beautiful estate up and always making great changes to keep things new and interesting! Most of the staff have always been amazing! There have been a few that lacked hospitality. However, the sheer beauty of the estate makes up for it!

this place made a good impression on me, but I expected more rooms. A few hours were enough for me to explore everything from the Biltmore house, gardens, Biotmore village, and taste wines. I recommend going in warm weather to have a picnic 🧺 with a view of the estate! it was nice to touch the history of the Gilded Age and feel the spirit of Vanderbilt
