Delia's Specializing in Tamales

We used to drive to Edinburg texas to get these now there in San Antonio. Still one of my favorite tamales. Great ratio between the masa and meat.

I Always get the chicken and cheese in green sauce and also the classic pork tamales.

This was first time going inside the restaurant usually it’s just drive thru, it was decorated very nice and we got a salad and chips with our order unexpected pleasant surprise! WE ENJOYED!!!

Thank goodness my husband had to travel to CC and on his way back stopped in to bring some back home. They hit the spot and were so perfectly spicy for me. Until next time. Wife and me are really picky about Mexican food when it comes to eating out.. We had been told many times to go and try it out the tamales, finally we did. Delia’s Tamales are the bomb, love the taste, portion and the amount of meat or what ever you request them of. Authentic taste and several choice to select from. I even ordered some extra to stack up at home, since we live 150!miles from nearest location. You wont regret it.

I've been eating their tamales for years. I still remember the first time I had their tamales in the valley. The first bite reminded me of my grandmother's tamales. Thanks Delia's!
I gave the service three stars only because my order was messed twice on different occasions. However, the cashiers are always friendly and have greeted my family and I with warm smiles.

The Tamales from this restaurant were so good and affordable! The salsa was so good, we went back through the drive thru and got a larger one! Will be back!!

This is a San Antonio staple. Every holiday we are able to order ahead and get both the regular tamales and the spicy ones. They are a favorite amongst everybody to eat. Be sure to order ahead so you can get your first choice. Sometimes they do run out!

A little tamale with a big taste. Some of the best tamales around hands down. So if you are in the area, give they a try you want regret it. Didn't take pic. I was too busy stuffing my face!

We from Fort Worth, Texas and moved to western NY. We missed the traditional Texas Christmas Eve dinner with Tamales. We ordered 4 doz (2 spicy pork, 2 spicy chicken and cheese) had them shipped, arrived frozen and packaged very well. These are by far the best Tamales we’ve ever had since my Mamaw passed away. We will order from Delia’s again for sure. Thank you for this awesome food.

Such a clean place! The employees really take care of this place. I had the half dozen cheese & jalapeño, bean + cheese + jalapeño, and spicy pork. The softest masa ever!! I love how they don’t make it too oily. A salad and chips is also given if you eat here. Very good prices!

Ok. Here we goooo…I’ve lived in Colorado, Arizona, New York, Texas, California. This is the upper echelon of tamales hands down. Don’t believe me? Try it. Every time we pull up the tamales are fresh, hot, so flavorful that we have to pull over in the parking lot next to the spot to eat before we drive back to Spring Branch Texas. So yes we drive to get these tamales because it’s worth it every single time! The staff are very respectful, kind, patient, friendly every time. That’s how you get repeat business by setting the bar so high that no other tamale spot can touch ya…great job…Muy bueno!! For all you none believers…I DARE YOU to try these and tell me I’m wrong…”test it and see”..

We were amazed at how delicious Delia’s tamales were as we’re big fans of Delicious Tamales. These were double the size, thick but soft-moist, creamy, and the fillings were so tasty! Highly recommend the Chicken-Cheese-Verde & the Sweet ones!

They are a detail oriented business striving to have the most delicious tamales at a competitive price. I haven't tried all the different varieties of tamales but all the ones Ive tasted are very good and have a good texture with a good amount of filling. The drive-thru lane moves at a good pace, and they are friendly and respond to questions with a smile.

I’ve eaten tamales from other restaurants and these are best I’ve ever had! But sadly I live in Dallas and me and my husband drove to San Antonio just to eat them. Maybe one day we’ll be lucky to have one in Dallas. Taking 6 dozen home.

Delia’s makes some of the heartiest tamales I’ve ever had (besides homemade). The order line tends to be very long closer to the holidays, but it’s worth the wait for the price and the flavor. Be sure to order early, and I always recommend ordering in-person because online orders increases the price for a dozen by five extra dollars.

Simply the best tamales I've ever had. They put a cream cheese or some type of cheese down the middle of the tamales that makes it taste very good (almost too much cheese in my opinion since it takes away from the meat or other stuffing). The breading around the pork tamales is very thick in comparison to the others I had- spicy chicken and bean/cheese/jalapeno.

This is our second time here. Last year we did drive thru due to the pandemic. This time we got to sit and eat. These tamales are so good. The ones we got were bean and cheese, spicy pork, and chicken with green salsa. It also comes with fresh lettuce and tomatoes to enjoy with your tamales. They also have aguas frescas and coffee.

The tamales are definitely homemade, you can taste the authentic maize. Light and airy and full of meat. The chicken/cheese with salsa verde are my favorites now❣. So awesome. Ordered online due to too many people flooding the restaurant ❤. Very popular.

They had a Police officer helping guide the traffic(Awesome).
They have 2 drive thru lanes. The staff is friendly and wear Masks. Felt very comfortable ordering and Receiving my Tamales. They are well packed and kept a perfect temperature in order to eat 30 minutes later. They offer military Discount. The Tamales are thick with meat and taste Amazing. I can't wait to go back. The whole family enjoyed them. Such a Great Variety to choose from. The service was fast and accurate. Worth the drive.

Hands down the best tamales in SA! I'm located far end of the Hill Country area, a good 35-45min drive depending on traffic, and absolutely well worth the drive and wait time in line. I highly recommend going early and plan for at least an hour minimum wait for both drive-thru and dine-in. If you're a tamale snob like myself this is your spot!!

We're from Harlingen, TX located in the RGV and we're very familiar with the quality of Delia's Tamales.
Wanted to see the SA location before heading back home on our recent SA trip and was very pleased with the outcome.
They taste just the same as they do in the RGV and was so happy with them. Wasn't surprised to see an officer on duty as they do back home to keep customer traffic in order.
