I've been eating at Adelante for years and am always impressed with how consistently good the food is here. The ingredients are always fresh, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend the Mahi tacos on the spicy red corn tortillas, if they have them that day. Also, the cobbler desert is incredible if they are serving it that day.

Don't expect typical Tex-Mex here. The menu here is more what I would call Southwestern.

Best healthy Mexican food restaurant you can ask for! The food is excellent, service is great, love the atmosphere as well. Never have been disappointed with anything we've ordered, though the salsa is a little different but not bad. They have simply some of the best tamales around! Definitely check them out!

Healthy, delicious, and terrific value! Great for vegan and vegetarian options, but they have meats as well for the carnivores out there! Staff is friendly and helpful, service is great! Will be coming here more often now that I know about it! Just be sure to bring cash, they don't accept plastic!

I love pretty much everything about Adelante, especially the consistently delicious and super clean food. My personal faves - tuna quesadillas, veggie tacos on wheat (I have tried repeatedly to make these tacos, but they are never, ever as good), crispy chicken tacos, turkey chili, sweet potato crisps + queso, and the HOT SAUCE! I can never get enough! Also, the music selection is as superb as the food! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!

The food was a pleasant surprise! For "healthy", there were many choices (they'll fix your food accordingly if there's dietary restrictions) and the food tasted awesome! The prices are very reasonable. The waiter was one of the best we've ever had - hope to have him again the next time we go!

We were so happy with our choice to eat here. So many DELICIOUS and INTENTIONAL vegetarian options. We tried a bunch of the plates and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this to anyone especially because of how affordable it was!

I've been enjoying Adelante's healthier food for decades. Debbie and Dan do a great and consistent job. This is not your typical Tex-Mex, but excellent food that's better for you than most. Recommended.

Loved the Adelante Plate, food was good and they are mindful to keep salt low but provide it at the table. Service was excellent food was fresh and tasted delicious, and the decor was colorful and interesting. Will definitely be back!

The food here is great and comes out of the kitchen quick! Like others have said, they make everything without salt so if it seems a little bland just sprinkle some salt on it and BAM! The flavors in the quesadillas are amazing and I go back every week for more. Truly a great little restaurant with fun ambiance and courteous staff. Just don't forget your cash since they don't take cards!

Have been enjoying wonderful food here since 198?, Fresh made food, vegetarian taco, plate is my favorite. Family owed and operated, you can feel the friendly and warm atmosphere the moment you walk in. Love the unique art from the floor up.

Adelante's is our favorite restaurant. I am vegetarian but my husband is not. We both really enjoy everything we order every time. I have never ordered anything that turned out to be bland. Yes we do sometimes add salt but adding salt after food is cooked is way healthier than eating food already full of salt. We will return many times and take our friends.

Love LOVE Adelante! We just enjoyed a couple of Adelante Combo plates, fabulous! Never had a bad meal here & the atmosphere is like home. Great waitress Keniah; she made sure we were constantly content

This was my first time here. The food was delicious and being a vegetarian I appreciated the very fresh veggie fajitas. I'm from Virginia Beach Virginia and travel to San Antonio frequently to see family. I will definitely be back. Great service as well 👍

Local Tex-Mex mainstay. Vegetarian friendly, fun interior, and friendly waitstaff. I have been going for 30+ years and usually get the cheese enchiladas which comes with a cup of poblano soup.
