Great stop while in Castroville. The historical markers tell the story of the area.

Such a beautiful place! I had no idea this was here and came across it by driving through old downtown Castroville. I wish this place was recommended more because there is a beautiful stone church from the 1800s, a marker signifying a military's route through this area, a nice fountain, and many small businesses in the area with traditional Texas/Alsatian architecture.

It's more of a parking lot rather than a park and the locals refer to it by a different name. They do have monthly events such as a market according to the townsfolk.
