Love coming here to see the Medina River. It's sad to see it getting so low. During this visit there were a lot of activities going on.

I can hardly believe how much that park has grown since I used to live in the RV park there in late 2010 to early 2011. I will definitely have to go back up there again soon, bcuz it's a wonderful place to take our puppy Bode to get some exercise and fresh air!!! 👍🏻😁🐶

Great big park with plenty of space for BBQ and family fun. Water spots for bird watching and even a city pool.

Beautiful place to bring the family! The water was running fast so a tube of kayak would be fun! Took a photo of how to reserve the tables. Simply beautiful! Volleyball courts. Secluded picnic tables that each had barbecue pits very nice!

Best park in San Antonio area! Several different playgrounds available, picnic tables throughout the park, large trees all around to enjoy, soccer field, basketball court, volleyball net, pool, hiking trails, camping areas, RV area, and there is a river!

Really fun! I love the river. It does get stagnant, so it does stink, but if you stay farther upstream, it gets deep, and there is even a rope swing! Be careful, though, as I went metal detecting, and I found fishing lures and lead waits right by the steps to get up for the rope swing. I definitely wouldn't want to step on that!

This is a great south Texas park. Not only does this park host the community pool you can also find a nature hiking trail, plenty of covered picnic areas, a stage, and a soccer field. The best part is that you get free and easy access to the river. We come here for birthdays, family reunions and more. There is something for everyone.

Add a co.unity pool, a very nice stream with fishing allowed, plenty of open areas for flying kites or just running around and you have this great public park. RV camping with rates daily to monthly.

Great hidden gem to experience the outdoors and get the kids out. They've set up hiking trails that can be slightly challenging but a great experience nonetheless.

Grills and picnic tables are everywhere. Totally recommend this as a quick family getaway and there is also an area for RVs.

This was a beautiful park, and well maintained. The trails were clear and easy to traverse. I didn't see any trash. The bathrooms were basic, but included soap and toilet paper. The majority of the park is a huge grassy field where we saw multiple kids soccer games happening simultaneously. But walking down to the river from it's many access points along the trail meant that the yelling faded away. This was a lovely spot in Castroville.

Very nice park. Walked the 1.2 mile path around the park. Not very busy. There are several hiking trails to choose from.

This is one of our favorite low key parks to visit. Good fishing on a long stretch of the Medina River, moderately challenging trails to hike with awesome views, and rarely is it crowded.

Great park. It has a couple of playground areas, bathrooms, and lots of wide open space. We have never used the pool, but many times visited the river on the south side of the park.

I loved how this park had so much to do yet was free to enter! Great elevation, fun playground for the kids, community swimming pool, and river to relax in while you barbecue!

Tip: be careful if you find a muddy path, it only gets worse! They'll have signs for boars and cougars but we only saw boar hoof prints.

What an awesome place for a hike! Spent about two hours here and loved it. Great for anyone who wants to safely get outside during these times! Also its about 20-30min from San Antonio so its a perfect little escape. We will be going back to check out the other trails we did not get a chance to hike.

It was great. Water was so so clean. Very cold. Just $55 to rent the picnic area, refundable if you clean up afterwards.
