Love this place. I go to San antonio for work but I always stay here. Everyone there is so friendly and nice. I admit, I love that the cats are well taken care of and always greet me when I go. I especially live big momma (my name for her). She puts grumpy cat to shame! I love her face!

Highest Recommendation!! This is such a wonderful and inspiring Hotel. The rooms are absolutely wonderful. The hillside views are beautiful for views at anytime of day or evening. There is no need to even leave., breakfast, lunch or dinner is Top Notch!! The staff is as well Top Notch. Have breakfast delivered to your room. Give you and a loved one some extra treatment massage etc. This establishment brings a warm home feeling with a 5 Star eating experience. Truly a unique surprise to anyone who has visited.

We stayed here for a corporate event. Staff and service were good and rooms were fine. They have three house cats that walk around. Direct TV in the rooms was useless..but I did not spend much time in the rooms. Wish they had a fitness room.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our wedding experience here at the Hilltop . Penny and her team were extremely welcoming & friendly and very helpful at accommodating our needs for our small and last minute wedding, all around great service & clean facilities. The food & drinks are of excellent quality & delicious. Great pool area & BEAUTIFUL views. Highly recommend staying here for a great experience in Castroville, Tx

My husband and I frequently visit Hillside on weekend days for a quick bite and libation. The good service and views make it one of our favorite spots in the Hill Country!

Last weekend our son graduated high school. We unfortunately had a lot of people RSVP last minute. Scrambling to try and find a bigger venue to fit our party, we decided we would look into having it at Hillside. What an incredible experience we had! The party planner, Angelica was amazing in meeting all of our needs on such a last minute project. The area we had the graduation party was absolutely beautiful. Very rustic with great views of the Hill country. Alex the service manager did a fantastic job setting the ball room up before we got there.
We ordered the Tex-Mex buffet. The service was awesome and the food was delicious! Every one that came to the party left very happy, to include our son, the graduate!

We were also able to reserve several rooms to stay for the weekend. The lady at the front desk (I think her name was Stephanie) was so sweet in making sure all our needs were met.

The pool area is so pretty and peaceful! If time had allowed we would have spent every second there.

From here on out, we will always consider Hillside first as one of our go to spots for any type of party.

Great place to eat with friendly staff. Located in Castroville with scenic views and a great atmosphere. The breakfast and lunch options are delicious. You can eat outside on their covered porch with scenic views or inside their spacious dining room. It's a chill and quiet spot to have a drink and some good food.

Becca and James and the staff are respectful and friendly and just a good people to be around. the food is always 5 star's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the food is always fantastic to breakfast to lunch and dinner. If you have time to visit the Hotel bistro it's worth the time. I hope you enjoy as much as I did. 💗

Great accommodations and excellent staff. Convenient restaurant at the facility which has friendly and polite waitresses.

Really nice quiet place to just get away and chill. Mother's Day brunch was cool with all the family . Then me and the wife went and just relaxed in the room. The patio was nice. Wish we would have been on the side of the view but still all the same just nice to chill and smoke a couple cigars late night.

This is not my first time staying at Hillside boutique hotel, we love it, it’s the perfect getaway. The staff is amazing, Helpful and kind. This time We had an issue with a third party booking and Samantha went out of her way to help and accommodate us. Thank you Samantha we appreciate your hospitality and kindness.
On top of that The rooms are clean and roomy, there’s a microwave and fridge which is a plus especially when traveling with children. My children love the Pool and the restaurant offers a good variety of food and drinks. We will be back soon!

This place is so cute and beautiful I love the scenery great for pictures. The rooms were clean and spacious. Stephanie was very helpful with answering all our questions. We would definitely come back for another stay here!

My husband and I had a lovely experience at Hillside from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful: lots of trees, a great view, and very well-maintained. All the amenities a chain hotel would offer, but with MUCH more charm. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. We had drinks at the bar and ordered food from the restaurant - all were delicious. Staff was professional and friendly (the bartender even introduced us to a new whiskey, which was awesome). If you’re a cat person, there’s a few kitties on the property…say hello and they might just sit with you on the patio for a bit!

Outstanding stay. It was our first time staying here. We have driven by many times and always talked about coming and just haven’t!
Excellent. Comfortable bed. Comfortable and clean room… even had a noise machine, which made me very happy. What made me the happiest was the people working there.
Courtney and Isabella (front desk) Madison and James (bar/restaurant). Beyond fantastic service! James made us laugh and was fast and efficient.
Fantastic stay and we will be back!

I stayed at the Hillside for my wedding. The Hotel was our venue. Megan the sales manager left no stone unturned to make sure that we were happy and that the venue was as accommodating for our big day as possible. Every member of staff was genuinely kind. Our rooms we clean and comfortable. The food was great and they even provided a vegan meal for me and those in attendance who were vegan. This is a great place to stay because you will be treated like a valued guest. By friendly and professional staff.

Darling boutique hotel with great service. Dont sleep on Castroville, a darling little town! We love the river that runs through the park, a fun place for the kids! This is the perfect stopping place on our way to Port Aransas! Also ate at the Bistro, delish! And swam in the pool with the kids, which they gave 2 thumbs up! 👍 👍

If your looking for a modern French country stay this is the place for you!we stayed on a Thursday which was perfect for a private getaway! We had a King Deluxe suite with a hill countryside view! Every detail I’m the room is perfectly thought out from the tables, stools, pictures and rustic decor! The pool was huge and we had enjoyed it throughout our stay, it felt like our private oasis as we had the pool to ourselves mostly! The peaceful view and atmosphere was exceptional! Staff was polite and very accommodating! This is absolutely our favorite place! Can’t wait to bring our kids! We enjoyed dinner at Sammy’s Mexican restaurant, we both had the chicken fried chicken. Magnolias coffee shop is a must the caramel latte was superb! This stay was a 10/10
