Great place to find that hard to find hardware item. Definitely a more personable shopping experience. The employees are very helpful and make sure that you have everything you need to complete your projects. Prefer this location over the big box stores for my needs

It's not like your Big Box Do it Yourself Hardware Store but when it comes to Friendly Customer Service, there is no comparison! You are greeted the moment you walk in and if you are a regular, sometimes by your name or a, "It's nice to see you again!" They may not have a Wide Variety of items but they always have what I need to take care of my home repair challenges. Everyone who works there does their best to help come up with a solution. Prices at times are a bit higher but when you take into account that it will be a 25 - 30 mile round-trip drive to go to San Antonio, it will cost you more in gas just to save a couple of dollars. So I always try to support our local businesses. My plumbing, electrical, gardening and lumber needs are easily taken care of here at our Castroville True Value store!

I drive from Devine to Castroville to get supplies or get my equipment fixed because the True Value store there is always ready to take care of the customers and is well stocked. The staff are excellent. Joe and Jerry are great with customers and very knowledgeable as are all the staff. I recommend them because you won't leave frustrated as I have at times with other similar stores.

I always always prefer to give my harder money to the little guy versus the big Box store so my 1st stop is always It's true value in casterville and then if they don't have what I need I'm off to the big Box stores

I love this place!! Their small enough that when you walk in there your greeted right away, shortly after your asked if ya need help. There hasn't been a time yet that they haven't had what I need in stock.
The store is clean, well stocked, has friendly, professional and very helpful employees.

David helped me out with Sprinkler issues today! He was so polite, and friendly, he knew just what I needed very professional and knowledgable! Thank you soooo much! Walked in and said I need a “gadget” with a pic on my phone - He hooked me up and Fixed my issue w/ a lesson and some parts! Thanks again!!

I walked in 5 minutes till closing on a Sunday, to buy a chainsaw. A chainsaw they do not sell because it doesn't exist. As I was leaving because they were wrong I remember I had the info on my phone proving them right. 🤪 Not once did they make me feel rushed or naive. And the price was the same as the bigger stores in town. Thanks guys!

They may not have everything that a big box store has, but the MORE than make up for it by hiring knowledgeable, happy people. Selection is still very good for a small town hardware store, I'd rather buy from these guys anyways the amount of projects they've helped me with is pushing towards triple digits!

Got the hardware I needed at a reasonable price. Hardware section really well organized, easy to find the nuts, bolts and screws you need. Veterans discount on Tuesdays

They are always nice!! Rather than telling you where something is, they walk you to it & make sure you're set before they walk away. Even the cashier will do that, rather than pawn it off to someone else. Always a good experience when I shop there.

Very nice helpful staff always with a smile great service I will service I won't go anywhere else if I don't have to.
