It's a nice drive to this wonderful delight I love it here the ladies that all work here are always very kind and helpful when it comes to picking out pastries for me and my family. They have a huge selection of donuts, baked pies and much more! Sometimes some items are either marked 25% or 50% off at times. And last but not least I like the coffee here it's pretty good.

The ladies behind the counter were very pleasant and helpful. I took my kids here and they had a bit of a hard time deciding as everything looks delicious. Luckily they weren't too busy and the kiddos all loved the baked goods! We will definitely be stopping by when we are back in town.

This place has a killer strawberry cheese cake. They bake some serious goods here, so be ready to enjoy a variety of donuts, cookies, pies and cakes.
There's ice cold milk to compliment your baked goods or grab a fountain drink.
Ladies behind the counter are super friendly and happy to help.

Just love everything I get here. The blueberry and cranberry muffins are my favorite.
They used to have glazed crescents but no longer carry them.

Just follow the scent of home baked goods, if you're near or in Castroville, Texas! I bought two small loaves of bread (on sale) for the total of about $3.00!! I picked out whole wheat and oatmeal loaves. They also offer larger bread rolls, coffee (in the am) and special cake orders.

They have an array of decorative cookies, doughnuts, macaroons, cinnamon buns, fresh cakes and pies!

Unfortunately, the only gluten free item for sale is their macarons. But don't let that deter your plans for a "Must Stop" experience. Haby's is one of the town's gems!

First time going here but I was told that this place is a must and If you don't go there it's like breaking the law..lol. So being the good citizens that we are we had to stop in and and check it out. So we got some sweets to go and I must say it was so good.

I always try and stop in while I’m driving through town. I end up going in for one pastry and end up walking out with a box. Everything is delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls, donuts, and apple fritters.

I've been going to this bakery for 40 years since I was a small child and my parents and grandparents before me have as well. The only thing in my eyes that's changed is the staff. Apple fritters and thier cowboy cookies are a favorite and have stayed the same since I can remember. This place is iconic and historical in my opinion. get there early and experience the baked goods at thier freshest. You wo t be disappointed.

Omg! Best bakery donuts! Tons of goodies to choose from. If your passing by make sure to stop, your tastebuds will thank you! Fresh daily, as the day goes on, the less foods there are.

Every time we drive to SA, my sweet tooth has to stop at Haby's. I really enjoy what they have. The only problem is deciding what to get.

Haby's Bakery is a "must stop" when driving through Castroville on U.S. 90. Because of changes in my personal schedule, I hadn't driven through Castroville in years. Driving west, Haby's is on the right side just past the new Walmart and just before a Shell gas station.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stop until driving back to San Antonio at around 5:30 PM. Any good bakery will be low on it's inventory toward the end of the day, and Haby's is no exception. I especially like their variety of breads, but at 5:30 PM, most of the morning bread was gone. I had a choice of Oatmeal Bread and the more traditional Rye Bread. The store had plenty of cakes, pies and decorative cookies. I'm not trying to gain weight, but I wanted their macaroons; a bakery hostess indicated they were out of macaroons but suggested a similar soft pastry with coconut. I don't remember the name of the pastry, which wasn't on the receipt.

My only criticism of Haby's is they need to upgrade the software of how they ring up transactions so people like me will remember what they bought!
