Stephens Family YMCA

We took advantage of the Childrens Day on Saturday and just played in their children's play area. Our kids and their cousins loved the area and made some new friends! The pool seemed to be monitored properly with staff being present and life guards on duty.

Very nice newer YMCA with several cariovascular options. Good amount of weight lifting options as well. Wonderful aquatics center with several swim lanes. Also has a 30' indoor climbing wall and a dry sauna. Wonderful locker room, yet showers tend to run cold. You push a button to activate the water then it goes on forever. Two very nice studios and a bike studio as well. Great place and well worth the visit.

It’s great place for families! Childcare is not just watching TV, they play and have a lot of opportunities. The gym offers many different types of equipment. + Indoor track, swimming, sauna ….

Everyone's so friendly and they have so many classes you can take! Very clean as well! Love going here!

What a great place to be and feel a part of the community. There's a wide range of stuff to do, the gym is full of weights, treadmills, stair climbers, there's so much variety! Free childcare from a fantastic team makes me feel at ease leaving my daughter knowing she's well looked after. All in all, a fantastic spot on Champaign ❤

Great staff, great facilities, especially their 3 pools!

I really enjoyed visiting this YMCA. It is a lot larger than the one in my Sun Prairie, WI, and has a lot more amenities such as a rock climbing wall and water slide. Their gymnasium is a lot larger with a lot more equipment options. Glad I got a chance to workout there and look forward to the next visit. Definitely recommend it.

Yolanda is the best! I came here to check out the facility and I end up signing up for my household! PLUS registered my son at basketball tournament. Exceptional service! Would recommend this place because of her!

Have taken several classes here and it's always been a pleasant and positive experience. Love all the options and things you can do here! From bringing our children for swim lessons to working out and just having fun on the climbing wall.

I absolutely love this place. I have been going here as a member for about 2 years and have worked here for about 2 years. The YMCA does a great job of keeping a positive environment for its members and even before working here I was greeted by name by staff. Staff is friendly and they seem like they genuinely care about their members. They are also doing a great deal to keep the YMCA in top shape during the pandemic.

I like this place a lot. I wish it had a larger freeweight area and was open later. Easier said than done, I suppose. The membership fee is totally reasonable for what they offer.

I frequented this location this past summer in the early weekday mornings for lap swim and early weekend afternoon for cardio/weights. This is by far the newest and cleanest YMCA I've been to. It also has 8 swim lanes instead of the 6 (or less) that you get at most other locations. Additionally, most staff members that I interacted with were cheerful and encouraging. I remember the lifeguard who would advise me on my flip turns and the man who told me my weightlifting form was getting better. Overall, great staff, great facility, and great value! It is unfortunate that I had to move away from the area, otherwise I would continue to train here.

Definitely the best gym in town. The staff is friendly and facilities are clean and well kept. The best part is the Child Watch room. The staff is very attentive to my children and it is included in your membership.

Trained personnel to instruct classes. Friendly family environment. Clean facility. Couldn't ask for more.

The childcare is amazing and the staff is always attentive with my child. They go above and beyond. Knowing my child is well cared for let's me have a great workout.

Love it. Great facility, just wish there was a swimsuit dryer in the men's locker room.
