Great selection of Mexican food. Chicken with chorizo and bacon covered with queso? Not sure if it's authentic but it sure is delicious. The monster burrito is large and flavorful. Good margarita specials and happy hour. The staff was quick and courteous. The atmosphere is nice, not too loud which is appreciated.

Ordered for a work lunch, 7 different orders. They had placed each order in its own sack with a number and had an itemized receipt with numbers/names. Not only did they get the orders correct and bag them with numbers the gentlemen carried the orders outside in the cold to my car. 15/15 Would defiantly return!

Best Hispanic food I've had in a long time. Being from Texas and Louisiana I'm pretty picky about Hispanic food this place is incredible. Service drinks cleanliness and food are all TOP NOTCH.

By far the best Mexican Restaurant in Coles County Illinois! Amanda & her husband Rene own the best Mexican Restaurant I have ever enjoyed. The menu is bright and full of choices. It's quite busy there because the word is out. I highly recommend eating at Don Sol Mattoon!

Great food atmosphere and staff very friendly great place

I have been coming to Don Sols for years, 17 years. We come here mainly for Celebrations. Don sols, is were our family all comes together and eats. We are always, always Treated Like family. No matter the waiter we recieve. Everytime, i am heard a bad RESPONSE. I want to correct them. They are very hard working, wonderful customer service and they care about your experience and always .. Always want to make you happy.

This place has awesome food and great staff. The food is always fresh and has great flavor. The restaurant is always spotless.

This place is authentic Mexican cuisine. They have an extensive menu that would cover the pickiest eater, even vegetarians and vegans.
The seating is comfortable bench/booth that is roomy on both sides of the table. You get warm chips and salsa as soon as you are seated. I always ask for a bowl of white cheese for the chips, it's an additional cost, but tasty!
The meal is served in a reasonable amount of time after ordering, and the check comes in a reasonable amount of time too, so you're not waiting for it but you aren't feeling rushed either.

We have been here many times since it has opened. First thing they do is take your beverage choice thing bring your free salsa and tortilla chips so you have something to munch on. Your order is taken and usually within 15 minutes or so your lunch/ or dinner is brought to you. We have tried so many different things. Tampico shrimp is my husband's choice and I like the chicken fajitas as my favorite pick.

We eat here on a regular basis. I am vegan and this is one of the few restaurants that serve vegan options. I LOVE their veggie fajita. It is so delicious! The service here is consistently exceptional and so is the food. This is definitely a top restaurant choice for us in Mattoon.

My sister and I went there for lunch. The food was good a little longer of a wait for our food, our other visits were a lot quicker, The waiter was wonderful as always. We seem to always get the same one everytime we go there. Very wonderful environment and very welcoming.
