We fly in for lunch occasionally. The food is always great. The service is always good with a friendly staff. The atmosphere is spectacular. There’s airplanes hanging from the ceiling, airplane pictures on the wall, and an active airport just outside the window. On a good weather day there will be several airplanes on the ramp.

I used to go here all the time with my grandad when I was a kid. Decided to try again with fiance and loved it! Food amazing and people there are fantastic! Everything is so good. Fried mushrooms and onions rings as sides and patty melt sandwich. He had elephant ear tenderloin and it's huge! Prices fantastic!

This is a popular place that relies solely on word of mouth to bring in customers. I tried their famous Elephant Ear Tenderloin and I found it to be very tasty and reasonably priced. It goes great with either mustard or pickle. Onion rings were good but that tenderloin really filled me up so I could not finish. Heard a lot of people raving about the pie. Didn't have room in my belly for any. Will try some next time.

Super fun, friendly staff who always provide the best service! Love their B&G and hasbrowns (get them smothered in their homemade gravy!) If you're a fried mushroom or country fried steak fanatic, you won't be disappointed! I don't know how they make them, but they're the bomb BEST little mom and pop spot in Coles County!

Loved everything about this place! Found by googling places that have big tenderloins and their mushrooms were fantastic and the fried chicken was Delicious. Will definitely be back in the near future

It was a busy Friday night, so I can cut them some slack on service. The food was really good. My friend and I had the baby back BBQ ribs with a baked potato and coleslaw . Two other friends had the catfish and the walleye. We were all very pleased with our meals.

Great small town restaurant! Food has been amazing each time. I love their giant elephant ear tenderloin! Also the breaded mushrooms are great.

We flew in for lunch. Told to seat ourselves, which we did. Plenty room at that time. Place did fill up with local patrons a bit later. Friend had the Elephant Ear pork tenderloin sandwich. He said it was excellent. He had to cut away and eat some of the meat as, being an elephant ear, was WAY beyond the size of the bun! I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Prices were more than reasonable, esp for size and amount of each serving. As it got busier, service decreased. Had to go up to cashier counter to get bill after being told she would bring it to us. Not a problem. We would return!

The service was great! I had the patty melt, and it was delicious!

Good food place is usually busy with regular locals in covid times A for effort masked staffed for the most part some patrons while waiting for food and entering it's good to at least see some effort.

A little pricey but average for steakhouse! Delicious food!

This place is an all time favorite for my family. I have been eating here since I was a very little girl and now I get to take my little girl here and enjoy delicious food and familiar faces! Such an amazing staple in our community!

Truly a hidden gem never knew it was here took the MSF course and came here for lunch was awe-inspiringly surprised with service food portion quality of the food and OMG 😲 😋 😍 the best home cooking I've had in along time made me instantly feel like back home in Louisiana. Thank yall so much again. Will definitely come back.
