Really liked this place- comfy, staff very pleasant (Sunnie was quite nice), food came fast and was good- especially the cinnamon French toast! Biscuits and gravy good- but it helps to order a side of link sausage with it (gravy a tad bland). LOVED the side of ham slice. Great looking bakery/ desserts frig. Overall delightful. 😊😊

The Popeye omelet was quite good. I would definitely eat here again!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. Portions were huge, and at a price that can't be beat. The service was excellent, like a good family place. Will definitely be back again!

We came here on Christmas, which surprised me that it was even open. The place was packed, which is almost always a good sign. We didn't have to wait for a table, though and the food came out rather quickly. The pork tenderloin was massive and very good. The chicken noodle soup was very tasty as well. A very good sit-down restaurant and highly recommended.
I should also mention that their Peanut Butter Pie was one of - if not THE - best pies I've ever had in my life. Pure heaven.

Have stopped in the past two days for breakfast. Even when extremely busy there is no waiting for your food. Eggs cooked to perfection, ham off the bone was so tasty. Avocado toast with the Pico is the absolute best I've ever had. Service is fantastic, the restaurant is super clean.

Stopped in today for the 1st time. I ordered the hash stack, it was good. I was not crazy about the sausage used. It was pretty burnt on one side, but the flavor just wasn't something I personally liked. I would definitely order it again sans sausage. It came with cinnamon bread and when I say order it, I mean ORDER IT! The bread was so good and I could have made that my meal and been completely happy 😂 Our waitress said they sale it by the loaf but $10 seems pricey so I sadly didn't bring any home and now I regret it! If you are not a fan of the liquid butter they use on toast order it without because that was the only downside to the bread. Planning to make this a breakfast or lunch stop next time I'm back in town.

Great food! Fast courteous service! Sunday's are always busy, but they always get us seated quickly. We have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered all 6 times we've been there. It's worth the drive, and the prices are not exuberant for this day and age.

Food is always excellent and their service is good. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. A great place to eat at.

Absolutely fabulous food. The quantity and quality of the food was great for the price! The fresh squeezed orange juice is so incredibly worth it. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall great experience.

Great classy place not your average "Cafe" highly recommended! Food is great the house salad is amazing and it's a great place for breakfast!

Update: September 2020 Honey Bee has yet to disappoint it's always amazing! went into breakfast this morning and everything was so fresh and expertly cooked and the freshly squeezed orange juice couldn't have tasted better. thank you for being an exceptional value to Mattoon!

I wasn't sure what to expect here... wasn't much to look at from the outside. The inside was very clean and decorated nicely! I can also tell you, service and food were phenomenal! In a world of instant gratification and everything being cooked out of a bag, it tasted like everything was HOME cooked and from scratch! Wow! Also, Minka was an awesome waitress! Very quick and attentive! If you're looking for breakfast in Mattoon... this IS the place! I didn't get to experience lunch or supper, but it's probably wonderful too!
