I’ve known Frank Gurtz for over 20 years. He sent someone to my facility to quote an exterior lighting project. They did not provide a quote for what I wanted (Lutron Vive), they argued that it was not a good product. Considering Frank’s 20,000sqft lake house uses a nearly identical product (Lutron Radio RA/Homeworks), I was beyond confused. Instead Gurtz Electric wanted to run $50k worth of new conduit around the exterior of my facility. I ended up hiring a different electrician and went with Lutron Vive for a total cost of $15k. The system has worked flawlessly for 5+ years now. I am so glad I didn’t use Gurtz Electric!

I spoke with Pat today who was absolutely awful to deal with. I was referred to him by one of his clients and he immediately cut me off from speaking and asked to be removed from our call list. He had no idea what the intention behind my call was - new business, etc. - and was so shockingly rude. It's strange that he acted in such a manner as everyone else I have spoken with at this company has been very nice. I hope someone addresses his customer service skills as I am extremely appalled to have been treated that way.
