My parents recently moved out of a house that they had lived in for 41 years. It was important to us as a family to have the move go well in all aspects. Mariya was introduced to us by Ron, who also works in this group. Mariya did a wonderful job of helping us all feel comfortable with the process of selling, recognizing the emotional side of leaving a house after 41 years. She was very detail oriented and yet sensitive to my parents' needs and questions.
On the buying side, we also had a wonderful experience. Ron, also with this group, knew my family already and again was very sensitive to the needs and questions my parents had. I highly recommend Mariya and Ron for anyone who is planning on buying or selling a house.

Mariya was great! I highly recommend her for buying or selling a house. I went through the buying process with her 7 years ago and she was great staying on top of deadlines and helping us out along the way. She was the same way when we sold our house. She is also very personable and friendly! It goes a long way rather than just another agent/client relationship.

Hands down, Mariya is the realtor that you want on your team. She knows the market well and does an absolutely fantastic job at preparing you and your home for both the home buying and selling process. We have used her services three times now and we have never been disappointed. During our most recent sale of a particularly complicated home, she was unendingly patient with us and promptly responded to all of our questions and concerns, no matter how trivial. When looking to buy our first home in 2021, a friend recommended Mariya and said that she was very patient and thoroughly detailed. My partner and I were big fans of her right from her first email when she asked questions about what we wanted, and it was easy to tell that she puts a lot of thoughtfulness into what she does. Over the 9-month time period it took to find our home, including viewing over 15 houses, she was beyond patient with us and was extremely educational about so many things related to homes and the buying process. If she did not know, she would find the answer and get back to us. She really has your best interests in mind and goes above and beyond for her clients. 10/10, would buy/sell a house with her again. The only bad thing is that if you're like us and it takes a long time to find a home, you're going to be sad when you do because you won't get to hang out with Mariya anymore.

Mariya was an absolutely amazing agent for us when we bought and sold our first home. Mariya is awesome! I just recently purchased my second house with her help. She was also my realtor for my first home purchase. Mariya is very dedicated. It seems she is working at all hours. She has a great eye for home features and potential issues. Her communication skills are excellent, and she is able to explain the home buying process is a very thorough manner. Her website is an excellent resource for planning the purchase process. In fact, the automatic notification system alerted us to the house we purchased coming on the market, so that we able to make an offer well before any competition. Another stellar performance by Mariya and her team. House sold within days and the whole process could not have been smoother. We have completed several real estate transactions with the AroundCU team and would not hesitate to work with them again in the future. Ron was recommended to us by a friend who (just like us) was a nervous first-time home buyer afraid of making mistakes. Ron was super on top of things, kept us calm and helped us navigate the whole process without ever pressuring us to buy. He was super straight forward about the pros and cons of houses, and helped us find something perfect for us that we were comfortable with. Absolutely felt like he was on our side all the way, and really understood what we were looking for and what we needed.

An important disclaimer: we never finished the buying process with Mariya, due to problems with our financing (long story..)

However, we worked together on finding and buying a house, and we just had to leave a recommendation here. There aren't enough superlatives in the English language for Mariya. She is the ultimate professional, knowledgable, available, kind and polite, attentive to our needs and just awesome.

I had to leave town due to work relocation and used Mariya to sell my house. I was introduced to her through a friend and she initially offered to come over and give me advice on what I should focus on prior to listing. I was really impressed with her prep and detail-oriented work, so I decided to use her outside of the relocation firm. And that was definitely the right choice!

Thanks to Mariya's advice and thoroughness, I had my first buyer within a week! She gave me tips on what I should fix, what is not worth fixing, how to stage the house during showings; she worked with me on times that were convenient, and she was an immense help during the final stages of the sale, even meeting contractors and movers when I've already left.

Even after the first buyer fell through, she walked me through my options, what's our best path and how to proceed. Thanks to all of her work, I had a second buyer and a signed contract less than a month from my original listing date.

And just to drive it all "home" for you (a little pun humor :)), this happened in the dead of winter: Dec-Jan, a time notorious for very poor turnover in the Champaign-Urbana market.

Mariya helped us find our first home. She is an experienced agent who puts your interests first. She advised us against putting in an offer on a home that would not have been a good fit--saving us a lot of regret--and got us a great price on the house we eventually bought. She's the best!
